We took our daughter here for Sunday lunch, at 1:00pm. The decor and ambience was nice although it looked like everyone else was having afternoon tea! We all had the roast, I had belly pork, as did my daughter and my wife had roast beef....More

We had unexpected visitors and, living barely five minutes from the Assembly Rooms, decided that they would make a good lunch venue. I phoned and made a booking but the welcome when we arrived was less than impressive. There is a sign saying clearly "Wait...More

Myself and two friends visited for afternoon tea. We had excellent service, very attentive waitress and waiter, full explanation of each item and an excellent selection of loose leaf teas. Our sandwiches were topped up throughout and there was a wide selection of things to...More

We visited The Lavender House several times over the last few years, sitting at The Kitchen Table and in the main restaurant. The food was always incredible but the restaurant itself also had a lovely atmosphere - welcoming whilst still feeling intimate. We went for...More

We had a pre-theatre meal which I had booked. I eat from the "pre-theatre menu" and my brother eat from the a la carte. The food was well presented and extremely well cooked. The atmosphere was relaxing and the building itself fascinating. The waiting staff...More
