We had booked an early evening family meal for 19. This is a pre Christmas treat for the whole family. I gave back to the waitress,... More

I tend to request the round table every time we go there, and have never been let down as my good lady and her aunt love to sit there, The landlady (Vivian) recognises my voice and always books it for us.

Friendly staff and coped well with visiting football supporters who were an educational review of local kulcure . Beers ok but no local real ales . Food was the usual fare at great prices , the highlight for me the special jam rolly poly ! with lumpy custard ! Outstanding!

We reserved a table for 7 for an important family meal. The eating area is lovely - well laid out and tastefully decorated. The staff were friendly and welcoming. But... The main menu only had one vegetarian option - an unimaginative cheese quiche. I asked if there was another option and was told there was usually a lasagne but the... More

Took my grandchildren, the food is home made, excellent value & possibly the best pub food in the area. Current owners took over in April, & have created a welcoming atmosphere. They are working hard to make the pub work for the community, well worth a visit, we will be returning.

We visited here as a family group. We have been many times in the past and have always been impressed by the value for money and delicious food but there is a new menu and the times of great value for money are sadly behind us along with a fair number of customers judging by the almost empty dining room....
