"Wow" is the word I would use to sum up my visit to this establishment - honestly a wonderful place. Family run by wonderful people. Great hospitality and food (I enjoyed a three course meal - all three courses far exceeded expectation compared to the usual 'pub grub') complimented by a great selection of drinks. Cool choice of music over the speakers too. A proper English pub. I can genuinely say, having spent only around 2 hours in there that by the end of the 2 hours it felt like you could probably go up to anybody in the pub and chat as though they were a lifelong friend. I would highly recommend to anybody visiting the area. Thank you so much Max and the team at the George & Devonshire, I will be sure to visit again whenever working nearby.

Just want to say a massive thank you to the staff at the George and the Devonshire. We had a total nightmare on a long car journey as our toddler vomited everywhere. Emergency stop outside this pub and walked in with a screaming vomit covered toddler…the staff were unbelievably helpful, directed us to the loos and helped get him all cleaned up and happy again, even offered me a drink. I can not thank you enough for helping out a stressed out Mummy and a sad little boy - such wonderful kindness! We carried on our journey so can’t comment on the drinks etc but the vibes were wonderful and the kindness amazing. Thank you so so much!

Had the Sunday roast. Last one for a while with second lockdown on the way. I had roast lamb and my son had beef. My grandsons had sausage and chips. They remembered having pork skewers to start before and although not on the menu the staff accommodated. Beautifully roasted root veg. Will definitely be back.

In September, I took my brothers to London for a vacation as they had never travelled abroad from the states and this is my favorite city in the world. On our last night there, we found ourselves in Hammersmith after visiting fullers. We chanced upon this place for “one last pint” and I immediately wish we had found it on night one. Everything was amazing. Miriam(spelling?) was there as a guest with her beau. I’m embarrassed that I do not remember his name as he was amazing! So damn fun and entertaining. Pickle the dog was a highlight as well. The two male bartenders (Matthew maybe?) were wonderful as well, but the highlight of the night was the young lady who was bartending…and again (shocking, I do not remember her name). She was younger and had aspirations of moving to the US and being an actress. She was delightful and so damn friendly! I told my partner all about her and he said how awesome “what was her name?” She told me several times and gave me her IG and I didn’t manage to save or remember any of it! I blame the pints! But anyways, everything was great. At the end of the night the barmen dusted off the bottle of Harvey’s Bristol creme and poured a shot for us in memory of our grandfather who passed a year before. All in all, this was an incredible night abd I’ll definitely be back in my next trip to London in 2022.

Popped in after a visit to Lightopia. We were a bit hungry so went for the bar options. I had just a potion of cheesy chips and my husband opted for chilli chips. Our friend went for the Nachos. She said they were amazing. She and her husband kept commenting how nice they were as they finished off the plate. At the end of the evening my friend said they were the nicest nachos she had ever had! I thought I would have to let staff know that they made my friend very happy. We are thinking about returning to Chiswick House and gardens during the summer months. Please make sure you have nachos on the menus as we will definitely come back.

If the G&D has new managers, they need to think about staff training. The three staff on duty tonight were clueless - as though they've never worked in a pub before. I completely understand that pubs have had a tough time recently - but this means they should be trying harder than ever to win customers back. This place has either 'no management' or 'bad management'. Fullers needs to get a grip.

Well StreetSnapper we're not new managers, we're the same team who have received many glowing reviews over the past few years. One of the staff members on duty was under training, having only ever worked two previous shifts so it is perhaps understandable if she came across as slightly hesitant I presume you were in our 'back bar' which was pretty full that evening, but you have not actually specifically mentioned any aspects of our service you felt were below par. Most of our customers understand that table service on a busy night probably increases the staff workload by threefold and they show patience and consideration. Clearly you don't comprehend this I have been in this business for more than 20 years and I don't appreciate being called a 'bad manager'. Maybe you are just a bad customer - the kind we can do without!

We visited the pub as we were staying in the Premier Inn over the rbt. As soon as we walked in we were made so welcome and the staff were amazing. We had a few drinks and snacks and decided to call it a night but on way back to hotel we decided to book a table to watch the England v Scots game....luckily we did as it was getting fully booked up. On the match night the atmosphere, staff, drink and food were amazing and loved every minute...only thing that spoilt it was the march itself. We defo visiting the area again soon and will be popping in for a drink or 3

We were in London on a Sunday night for William Shatner at the Hammersmith Odeon the following night and were staying in the Premier Inn, Chiswick. We had a quick walk past the Fuller's Brewery and wanted to sample some Fuller's ale and The George and Devonshire was a perfect choice. We had the very lovely London Pride and being a Sunday evening it was quiet and they weren't serving food, but that was no problem. The pub had a lovely open fire and had a really nice friendly atmosphere. We got talking to the barman, Joe, who was very friendly, and very knowledgeable. We had a really lovely evening talking and drinking. If you're staying at the Premier Inn and would like to sample some lovely ales in a friendly pub then I couldn't recommend the George and Devonshire high enough.

This was our first visit to the George and Devonshire, and is well worth the short 10 minute walk from Chiswick High Road. The bar staff were friendly and our food was lovely and served promptly. We had fish and chips, and the beef chilli. The London Pride was in excellent condition, which is not surprising given the brewery is so close! We will be visiting again soon.

The day went better then expected and we couldn't fault a single thing. I would highly recommend to anyone to have their events there! They really went above and beyond!!! Thank you so much guys, you helped create the most perfect memorable day! 🥰❤️

Lovely well kept pub. Well thought out shaby chic / contemporary decor. Great friendly and helpful barstaff. Well kept beer and cider, but coffee not not great if into your coffee...can't have everything...and it's a pub, not a coffee shop afterall. Friendly locals. Also very handy if you're doing the Fullers Brewery tour next door. Lunchtime food ok, evening menu looked interesting.

Having recently moved into the area close by I occasionally pop into the George for a quiet one. Staff are a nice bunch and always have a friendly word. Competent and quick. Mariam in particular is always in good form. The history of the place is interesting too. Allegedly there is a secret tunnel from the cellar to the Thames 100 m away which smugglers of old used back in the 16 and 1700’s!

Visited a couple of times while staying at the nearby Premier Inn and the pub was perfect. Quiet on the times that I went, the clientele that were there seemed nice and the whole ambience was relaxing. They have a lovely pub dog as well! The London Pride was perfect of course (mind you...it should be seeing as the brewery was next door!). If you are in the vicinity....pop in for a perfect pint!

Nice friendly pub across the road from the Premier Inn. We popped over for dinner but the owners were on holiday so no food. Had a couple of drinks and chilled out. Would recommend.
