This is quality, Indian cuisine at its very best! The flavours the inventive menu the incredible choices are seriously good. This is an Indian restaurant in another league. It is expensive but the best! Excellent service in spite of the fact it is normally quite busy.

This restaurant was for a while in my list of places to try and it did not disappoint me. The concept which I never encountered before, of arrival, medium and late dish which allows you to plan based on cooking time. We order 2 arrival, 1 medium and 2 late (think as main dish). And we were stuffed. Everything was... More

Amaya has been in existence since at least 2007 and this restaurant has maintained its ethos and its position as a leading Indian restaurant. Dishes are generally "light" and not heavy as perhaps one would find in Brick Lane. For example, courgette spaghetti with raisins, crushed peanuts, Parmesan cheese and chilli oil. It was exceptional. On is encouraged to try 3-4... More

This was my 3 rd visit to Amaya. Not only is the food always more amazing but service is on point! The food is expensive but worth the price. This last trip was specially memorable. I lost a precious necklace. The next morning in midst of my panic, Sachin, a manger called about the found necklace. He was incredibly helpful... More

We loved his restaurant. The atmosphere, ambiance and especially the food!! One comment is don't over order. There were 3 of us the waiter recommended 8-10 dishes. Come on we 3 women looked over the menu and followed the recommended times that the food would come out and ended with 4 dishes and had a piece of lamb left over.... More

So been to all the other restaurants in the chain but not this one - finally made it. Interestingly it was fully booked on their online reservation so I called and they gave us a reservation on the sharing table. When we arrived there were loads of tables and we were given a nice table for two. Why they couldn't... More

The food here is ok, but service is really good. We tried the set menu, just average. Not as good as I expected.

The food here is consistently good - I never know what to get as I want everything. The atmosphere has never been excellent, only OK, and the service has improved considerable and is now great (it was fairly mediocre 6-12 months ago)

These are cooked in full view in a theatrical restaurant show kitchen It is a casual and joyous restaurant where people can relax and eat with their fingers if they wish. The real Indian food is designed to be shared and is served as it is prepared. There are no conventional first courses or main courses.Amaya achieved the rare distinction of winning the two most prestigious restaurant awards in the UK in the same year - The Tio Pepe ITV Awards for Best Restaurant as well as the Best New Restaurant. This is the first time either award has been awarded to a restaurant serving non - European food, let alone an Indian restaurant. In 2006, it also became one the very few Indian restaurants to be awarded a Star in any Michelin Red Guide.

Staying in Belgravia

Neighborhood Profile
Belgravia
Home to the vast majority of embassies and diplomatic residences in London, sophisticated and upscale Belgravia also boasts a wealth of luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and some of the city’s most stroll worthy lanes. While the prices here are high, taking a leisurely stroll through the streets of picturesque and elegant white stucco houses is free. Hyde Park and the Buckingham Palace Gardens are only a stone's throw away to the north, and some of Europe’s best shopping is nearby as well.
