An absolutely fantastic experience. Recently travelled to Iceland and picked tip on Bloomberg. Name says it all - refined, interesting and exciting. Intriguing menu, exclusive wine list and even more impressive champagne list. Each course we chose had a hidden dimension either in its presentation, secret favors or unexpected food texture surprise. Attention to detail, brilliant service and a definite return... More

I had a business lunch today at Texture based upon the recommendation of a friend of lives in London. It was amazing. I had the lunch tasting menu (fish) and loved every course. The dishes were unique yet wonderful and the presentation was second to none. Friend had the lamb which came out with a "smoking" presentation that made it... More

First. I love Texture. I have visited twice, and will go again. The Icelandic rock salt is to die for, the space between the tables and the awesome service makes it amazing. This is one of those 'special event' destinations. A client to impress. A 50th anniversary. And if you need to worry about the pricing, just go somewhere else.... More

Dear Mark W, Thank you very much and it has been a pleasure to welcome you again. Icelandic lava salt is unique, it has volcanic ashes that enhance the flavour and looks of it and gives a Scandinavian touch as well to the whole experience. I am happy you enjoyed your visit once more, and we can't wait to see... More

Came here for the Tasting menu, I've have never experienced Scandinavian food before (unless you count IKEA?! then I'm a pro) and to be honest I ate a lot of mysterious looking and tasting things I would never have ordered left to my own devices (I guess the point of a tasting menu), did I love every course - no.... Texture is one of our favourite restaurants in London, we visited again for Dinner on a Saturday night, party of two. We had the fish tasting menu and each dish was fantastic from start to finish. Tuna appetizer set a Asian spirit to the meal, bringing us back to our Japan trip. Salmon came next, possibly the best Salmon I... More

Fantastic experience. Two of us had fish tasting menus and one had regular testing menu. Every item brought to our table was superb. Probably one of the best meals I ever had.

Wasn't sure what to expect. It was first time for me to eat Scandinavian food. You could choose from 3 set menus or a'la carte. It was 3 of us at the table and we all chose fish set menu. I asked for my main fish to be swapped with different fish and they did it. Very enjoyable evening. I... More

Our first Michelin experience so didn't know what to expect and knew it would be expensive (£100-200 per person). Went for a tasting menu with 5 accompanied wines. The meal was wonderful and really glad we went for the wines too. Lots of nice little touches and Icelandic influences and passionate and helpful staff who are eager and attentive (perhaps... More

Super friendly professional service, to match great food. We started with a lovely cocktail and opted for the Fish taster menu and it was very very good - from the "crisp" appetisers through to the after dinner coffee. The Icelandic salted cod was amazing. We didn't know cod could taste so good. The wines were delicious. A thoroughly enjoyable experience

Staying in Marylebone

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
