Had the Classic degustation menu and was pleasantly surprised by the variety and taste of the various dishes as they are served. Staff explained the dishes and the amouse bouche is so good as well. Love the scallop , chicken and fishin the set of 9 dishes serviced !

My wife & I visited Hibiscus and had the classic tasting menu. The amuse bouches and bread were plentiful and tasty. All the courses were inventive and very high quality. Serivce was decent. The only disappointment was the wine list, which was somewhat limited for a restaurant of this quality and was hard to navigate as the grape varieties were... More

Hibiscus had been on the visit list for some time and having finally found the time to visit , we were not disappointed. Like most diners, we opted for the 7 course surprise tasting menu which consists of some of Claude Bosis signature dishes as well as others which are new or in development. Not knowing what each course is... More

We had the surprise tasting menu here accompanied by the wine flight. Everything was very well done, superb flavours and textures. The creativity in the dishes and the surprise element of not knowing what would come next was very enjoyable. The wine pairing was also very good indeed and each matched the relevant course well. The service was (almost) faultless... More

We visited for my husband's 30th birthday & had an excellent meal. We had the lunchtime set menu. Half a bottle of wine each was generous. The mackerel with strawberry starter was very good, as was the pork for the mains, and the apricot meringue was particularly delicious. The service was very attentive. Although the restaurant was very minimal and... More

There are chefs and then there are a handful of great chefs who through experience, touch, a little flair at modernisation, take classic dishes and make them their own. Claude Bosi is one such chef. His long standing restaurant in Mayfair, Hibiscus is a temple to wonderfully light, full of flavour gastronomy. Well what can I say! French inventive cuisine... More

We recently came to Hibiscus for Saturday lunch for my wife's birthday. It's a very nicely decorated dining room and the service was good. The food was for the most part exceptional. In particular both main courses (confit pork neck with smoked eel and barbecued chicken). Dessert (one sweet and one cheese) was also great. Starters were fine, but maybe... More

Welcoming hosts on arrival, however once sat it took a good 15 minutes before anyone else even caught eye contact with us, no menus explained to us, no pre-drinks offered. Finally ordered our meals, so we went with the obvious 7 course tasting and wine delivered 10 mins later. Can honestly say i did not enjoy any of the courses...... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
