A Northern Italian restaurant from Angela Hartnett. The restaurants are relaxed and inviting and intended that you can drop in and eat every day. The kitchen takes a simple but uncompromising approach to Italian cooking and we print the menu daily. The wine list is 100% Italian and we focus on the best artisan growers from across the country. Cocktails too are resolutely authentic and Italian in their approach.

I have been waiting for Cafe Murano Covent Garden to open as it's my favourite branch of the three so when I heard it was taking reservations I jumped on it. Let me tell you, Angela is back in Covent Garden and better than ever!...Started with arancini (a must-have) and the caponata. Wow! Nobody does caponata like Angela and I remembered why I love her food so much. I had to have pasta as a middle course and joyfully devoured the Tortelli with spinach and ricotta. I then had the special, a whole plaice with capers and grilled asparagus, which was outstanding. My wife loves crab and went straight for the spaghetti. She said it was the best she'd ever had! I ordered a few negronis, my wife had a special made non-alcoholic cocktail from the bartender and both were brilliant. The staff were on point and so on top of their game with service and charm all around. We walked home with such silly grins on our faces and very happy bellies after such a fantastic evening. This is what eating out in London is all about and I've missed it!More

Great food, although the menu is quiet limited and a little confusing, that said the staff were excellent and very knowledge, the food was very good, fresh and seasonal, some very familiar others quiet unusual

Nice place but It has a very expensive wine list. Food is delicious, but not really Italian traditional.

We had an amazing meal here this past Saturday night. The 5-star tone was set from the start when the GM personally came over to welcome us shortly after being seated and asked if we have dined with them before. I told him, "No, but...we've heard good things from some Italian friends of ours, so the bar is set pretty high." He responded, "Show me the bar and I'll make sure we exceed your expectations." He did exactly that as the pasta was by far the best we've had outside of Florence. For our meal, we decided to start with the Sea Bream Crudo, which was not only vibrant and beautiful to look at, but so light and fresh...a perfect way to begin what was sure to be a heavier meal. We followed the Crudo with the Beef Carpaccio which was the most buttery and flavorful version of this dish we've ever had. For our mains, we enjoyed the Veal Shin Tortelli, Crab Spaghetti and Gnocchi, and finished off the meal with a scoop of stracciatella and an espresso. All of that, including £34 bottle of wine, came to just over £100, which we felt was an exceptional value for the service, food quality, portion size, ambiance and overall dining experience. We will definitely be back. I hope readers will find my review and photos helpful. For more from me, follow @tabestravelsMore

We had an excellent dinner - the food was all superb and the service very friendly and attentive without ever being obsequious. A great place to introduce adventurous children to 'real' Italian food. There is also an extensive and well thought-out all-Italian wine list. Highly...recommended for a pre-theatre visit or to celebrate a family occasion.More

Following lock down, lets go out. So special booking at this restaurant. Trouble is it looks very upmarket and could be very expensive, but never mind we have not been out for a year or so. Great choice of menu, but look todays special, and...look at the price really just right. The ambience, the great friendly staff, particularly Sylvia who served us. On target and just right. I want to go back it was a great experience. And I felt the bill would have been much more up market than it was. Thank you for our first proper restaurant night out.More

February. Birthdays. What to do? I had tried online ordering form some fine dining restaurants in York and St Andrews and they were superb. And then I spotted Angela Hartnett's Cafe Murano. I was not disappointed. excellent food. Starter of Burratta and blood orange (and...other ingredients!) was superb. The ragout with gnocchi was rich and flavoursome. The rhubarb based dessert was wonderfully balanced. Next time I need to eat in the restaurant. Ordering, delivery, packaging and instructions were excellent. And I thought I plated up superbly well!More

we tried the delivery service as the restaurants were closed due to lockdown in November. So glad we did. Delivery was prompt, the food well packed with good instructions and in good time for the weekend. The supper menu was first class and the high...quality you would expect, although initially opening the box the portions looked a bit small there was plenty to fill the two of us, in fact, we had to keep the pudding until the next night!More

This was a bit of a treat for us during a few days stay in London, we were not disappointed. From the on door staff, the waitress service with help and advice and of course the food it was all excellent.

We were a family of four eating at 6.15pm on a Saturday evening. We were seated upstairs which was a lovely and full of character. The staff could not be more helpful. They took our daughters nut allergy seriously and produced some amazing meals for...us. The fritters to start were a delight and my husband said his risotto was the best he had ever eaten. I have to say that my semifreddo desert with the amaretto base was very well made and delicious. The menu for children is not extensive but that said my two found something they would both eat.All the staff were amazing waiters and waitresses along with the manager on that evening Robyn. We would definitely recommend and will probably be back.Good for you Cafe Murano - thank you. One word of advice if you ever expect a reply from manager - Chris (chris@angela-hartnett.com) don't hold your breath, the guy just doesn't reply even though we were asked by him to get in touch!More

Very suitable. The loo is adapted for limited mobility and is on the same level as the tables. On our visit, the were two people dining who were wheelchair users.
