Came here for brunch with a group of girlfriends and babies and despite being busy service was fast. We went for the Sunday Lunch menu and this was good value for money considering the vast amount of food given. The beef portion was large and void of too much fat which can be a common problem. The accompanying vegetables were... More

We stopped here for a drink after a hard day's shopping after being sent upstairs by the staff at the bar in Fortnum & Mason because they had a 3o minute wait for a table. The hostess told us we couldn't just have a drink, but luckily another member of staff corrected her and informed her the bar were sending... More

Have been here on so many occasions - good for meals throughout the day, especially a refreshing cup of tea after shopping. On this trip we stopped in for breakfast - bacon sandwiches for some and welsh rarebit (with bacon) for others - both were awesome. Don't know how they cook the bacon (now wished I'd asked)!

We enjoyed our lunch at F& M - the quality of food is very good and the service is excellent. The price, as you would expect, is a little plump - but now and again !!

I came in out of the pouring rain last weekend and was lucky to get the only remaining table. I had a delicious, warming lunch here: game terrine followed by a Welsh lamb shank pie - perfect fodder after getting soaked outside! - and a large glass of shiraz. Service was swift and friendly and, considering where it was, not... More

We always visit F and M when in London and have out same ol Welsh Rarebit. It never fails to deliver. It has lost its Englishness somehow but the rest of the store makes up for it.

Unable to reserve the diamond jubilee tea room for my Mother- in -Law's 90th birthday, we took her to the Gallery for the Piccadilly Tea. I felt the experience was lacking. First, the service- the maitre d' who greeted us and showed us to the table was friendly- perhaps too much so. He took the orders and accommodated our requests... More

We visited this restaurant last week, and were really pleased with the service, we were offered a seat away from the window, as the sun was very powerful, & would have made our dining experience very uncomfortable, very thoughtful. Although the food was a little more expensive than we would normally pay, it was very tasty and the service very... More

The tea was lukewarm not hot. It spoilt our experience. Used to be fantastic and so English. The staff did offer to replace it but by then it was too late - we had eaten our scones. Had to ask 3 times to get more milk

Staying in St. James's

Neighborhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
