It may be selfish, but I’m somewhat glad that the early efforts to grow citrus in the Kew Gardens were a failure because that meant that another purpose was needed for this purpose built structure. And what a beautiful building it is. It is now...More

Tried our luck for lunch just on the bell and we were lucky they sat us down and we were soon eating and drinking. They were extremely busy but very short staffed so some customers were a wee bit stroppy however the skill of the...More

Nice seats area, full English breakfast were good portion and quality food. Coffee average, lunch - roast beef and chicken, both cooked well, nice cake selection. Not really cheap but drinks were expensive.

I’m always surprised at dining establishments that spend hundreds of thousands of pounds on getting set up, only to let servers without common sense reflect poorly. The patio was beautiful, couldn’t get any better. Our personal server was great, a bit slow but who cares...More

Dear Mr & Mrs S, firstly as I said in my telephone call to you this afternoon how sorry we were that your order was mislaid during a very busy time in the kitchen. I noticed that your order was taken at 13:28 - I...More

Sadly the Orangery was closed for renovations, but fortunately, betwixt it and the Sunken Garden is a rather posh pavilion set up to serve lunch and high tea like the Orangery used to do. I had wanted to take my family there for high tea...More

The only good points I can give are: beautiful location and the food was edible. Even though we booked, the table wasn't ready and it took 30mins before we got our drinks- which was not welcomed on a boiling hot day! To be fair they...More

This restaurant overlooked the Diana Garden at Kensington Palace. We sat on the covered patio and indulged in a Royal champagne tea. Currently the real Orangery is undergoing renovation but this building is terrific. Go!

There is no entrance fee to the Orangery to take afternoon tea. The price for tea is £27.50 per person. I do recommend you make a reservation either online through OpenTable or by calling 0203 166 6113
