Excellent find by my other half. Great food, particularly the Sorpotel starter (Goan stew). Fantastic service considering how busy the restaurant was. Please try... but reserve a table. Deservedly busy!

I've been coming here for ages and never had a disappointing meal. On my latest visit, a mixed group of one omnivore, two vegetarians and two vegans ate very well. The vegetable dishes I had were prepared fairly plainly, but the seasoning was subtle so everything tasted interesting and different. I particularly enjoyed the okra (and it's not my favourite... I've been coming back to Ma Goa for 15 years, even though we are no longer living in Putney. One of the classiest Indian I've been to in London, with the best fish dishes! Everything is on the spicier side ( much more so than other Indian restaurants), but every single dish I've tried tasted superb. You absolutely have to... More

Have been before and took a friend who had never been,he was totally impressed by the food and service. I must say that we both agreed that ma goa is probably the best Indian food we have ever had. The owner Dee even with a busy restaurant took time to chat and humbly allow us to praise the food, service and... More

This is the best indian I've been to in england so far. Nothing too fancy, nothing too crazy, just damn good dishes. Annything lamb is good. Butter chicken is charcoal and delicious.

Nice enough place, friendly but a little cramped. Food was really tricky and only for the adventurous who like stuff REALLY hot. I asked for hep - being new to Goan. Waiter was very helpful - did his best - but i still ended up with something inedible. it was their equivalent of chicken Korma but ridiculoulsy hot. i had... More

Hello, Such a shame you left us dissapointed with your choice of meal. We do have dishes with little or no chilli in them. Our Korma actually has no chilli at all. Our coconut chicken also has no chilli. Please do give us another chance I promise we will not let you down again. Our food is really not all... More

We have two babies so we opted for take away. Very punctual. The dishes were lovely and not greasy. The best Indian in London so far. I'd love to try the restaurant.

A fabulous first experience of Goan cuisine. Freshly cooked, aromatic, spicy but not over the top. Special of the day was Murch chicken, we also had Konkan style Gallina- a medium chicken curry with a particularly tasty red massala sauce, a freshly cooked Peshwari Nan- we frequently have these in other places, but this was the best. Fried chillies- a... More

Visited with a couple of friends when on a work trip to London. Restaurant was quite dark. Menu was fairly original for a curry place. I didn't eat as much as my friends (probably on my mind that I had eaten out a lot in the few weeks before that). The main course I had was excellent. Would happily come... More

Impressed with the quality and authenticity of the food here. Food was fantastic. Good service. Small but nicely done restaurant close to Putney Overground. A treat to your taste buds..

At Ma Goa Restaurant, my Mother and her team prepare their favourite dishes using family recipes passed downthe generations. Our menu takes inspiration from all regions of India but we have a passion for Goa. Since its opening in 1993, we have won critical acclaim & we take pride in the fact that we are a genuine family-run independant restaurant. Our mission has always been to serve tasty, fresh, unpretentious home-style cooking in a warm & friendly setting. Situated 2 minutes away from Putney British Rail & 5 minutes away from East Putney Tube it makes a perfect venue before a night on the town. We also offer a popular take-away & local delivery service via Deliveroo & UberEats & a party catering service. We look forward to welcoming you to Ma Goa soon.
