Staff are great at Green Papaya. For tasty, quick, Vietnamese food it's a safe bet. Favourites on the menu, asparagus chicken, Thai Green curry, and the pho's are lovely.

Simple, modern and buzzy restaurant between Hackney Town Hall and the lively Broadway Market. They have a very good choice of Vietnamese food from pho, to bun to stir fries. Pho could do with a few more herbs and some dishes are OK but bland, but beef dishes, seafood and some vegetarian options are really good. Service is professional and... More

Went here with one of my friends for a nice Friday night dinner. I had saw and heard great reviews but was extremely disappointed. We were sat immediately and were not given more than a minute to look over the menu before we were asked for our order. I ordered the chicken red curry and my friend ordered shrimp stir... More

Found this place on TripAdvisor and the reviews were good. My starter was really good, but could be my choice of main didn't suit me. I ordered cubed slow cooked lamb in a sauce. This was very gloopy and was accompanied by some very stodgy rice. Service was good. But couldn't say that it was friendly. Might have been different... More

I've eaten here twice and have been pleased both times. The first was takeaway after a long week of work. It was ready very quickly and still quite hot when I got home 15 minutes later! Lots of fresh herbs with the pho. Ate in the restaurant yesterday and got nice recommendations from the staff. Slow cooked lamb in coconut... More

Great food, always good. Recommend the salted tofu! Always fresh and enjoyable. Can be busy so try to book on a busy evening or arrive with time incase there is a queue.

A number of us went to Green Papaya as we were in the mood for Vietnamese food, and it seemed to have the best reviews in the area - unfortunately the food was rather bland.

This is our local go to place when we don't want to cook and want to treat ourselves! Lovely authentic Vietnamese food and great vegetarian and vegan options. Service is always fast and very great value for such good food!
