lovely venue especially if you are eating in the conservatory area. The road outside, the georgian housing stock and the heath all add to the pleasure. busy sunday and the kitchen proved to be slow, maybe they should be forgiven, maybe not. table service was friendly and efficient but they were let... read more

I've been visiting this pub since I moved near the Heath and I must say it is a fantastic place to unwind after a long week, eat great food and drink a good glass of white! The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive and made sure my visit was as great as it always is. The building and location is 2nd... More

Worst service I've ever experienced. We had everything, from having to wait half an hour for drinks, wrong orders, brutally over cooked beef, components missing from meals. Not once did any of the waiting staff smile or offer an apology for the terrible service and the constant errors, I even had to argue with the staff who delivered the bread... More

A gastropub close to Hampstead Heath. The overall mark arises from the quality of the food, the service was so bad it was funny. All it needed was John Cleese. I arrived with my wife and spent ages getting attention from the staff as we needed to know whether to order the food at the bar or at a table.... More

We went to the Freemasons with another family on a Saturday night. We have been going for years as it is generally a good place to eat. However things have gone downhill. We ordered a bottle of Chilean Pinot Noir and the waitress came back to tell us they were out of it but could recommend another Pinot Noir. We... More

Myself and my family visited the Freemasons on Sunday and although we had not made a reservation, they were more then helpful with finding us a table. I would highly recommend this place for lunch but you must make a reservation!!!! The pub was beautiful and an amazing area and all the staff were highly attentive.

I visited the place with couple of my friends for a drink and a bite to eat as I heard it's one of better restaurants/pubs in Hampstead. As soon as we walked in we have been greated by smilinh staff. I have noticed how nicely the space have been designed! Big bar and two big restaurant spaces with massive garden... More

We went for a new year's day dinner last week. The atmosphere when you walk in is very nice and the decor in the pub is very homely and tasteful. As our table wasn't ready we went to have a drink at the bar and wait. My 18 year old daughter had forgotten her ID and so was not served... More

4 of us went to dinner here last Sunday evening starting with a drink. The clue to the experience started with the pre-dinner drink. Whilst you would never expect house wine to be the best, the wine here was almost undrinkable. Then to dinner. The restaurant was probably only 30% full, but after sitting there for about 15 minutes, we... More

I enjoyed our dinner at this gastropub. The sea bass was accompanied by delicious vegetables, and everyone in our party of four felt that the food was very good. The service was somewhat slow, and I felt that the restaurant was somewhat understaffed.
