Beautiful restaurant, suitably impressive for a child's birthday treat. The theatre was great, the food was very tasty and the portions were well-sized. A candle in the pudding and all staff singing happy birthday rounded off a lovely evening. We really enjoyed this.

Beautiful restaurant and the food was equally as good, just a shame they couldn't accommodate allergies!

Might be slightly costly to have dinner here but highly recommend as you get dinner and a show! You might be seated near strangers but it isn't to much of a bother. Very good overall experience!

I didn't expect to eat on the Kings Road at low cost. We tried Benihana in Key West, Florida earlier this year. It was great, some at the table theatre combined with generous portions of flavoursome food at reasonable prices. I booked this for a birthday meal for my wife taking along other family members, assuming the experience would be... More

Such a great place. Love that all the staff wear authentic dress. Staff greeted us and showed us to the table. Tables sit 8 people and you sit with other people - the table is shaped in a horse shoe and there is a griddle pan in the middle where the chefs cook in front of you. Chefs are really... More

Our party of nine people gathered in the large bar area. We were able to take our time over pre dinner drinks. In due course we were escorted to our table for the entertainment to begin. Guests are seated around the hot surface where the chef performs and it is a true performance. The food is sliced and diced at... More

A birthday celebration was initially diminished by poor service. We arrived on time but were expected to wait a further 30 minutes for a table. It took 40 minutes for the drinks to arrive. The staff appeared stretched and disorganised. After complaining, things changed rapidly. Service became attentive and prompt. The teppanyaki was enjoyable and well presented. At £65 per... More

The restaurant is downstairs and can be quite warm We were seated at the back of the restaurant , maybe because of the deal?! There was a set menu which was quite limited The chef came and put on a great show for us and even cracked a few corny jokes. The food was ok but was plenty of it... More

A group of 7 came here on a Friday night, It was great fun and they accommodated for an allergy to shell fish so they cooked everything then the shellfish last. Although my husband had got an allergy from the lobster, guess you don't know you have one until you try it. Everything was great, entertainment and food. Yes it... More

Description
Elegant Japanese styling and delicious fresh food await you at London's Benihana Restaurant.

Benihana is a favourite not only of tourists but of locals fresh from the nearby offices, relaxing with colleagues or indeed entertaining clients.

In keeping with the Benihana brand the chain began in New York way back in 1964, this means that this year, 2014 is our 50th anniversary.

This superb Japanese restaurant swaps the conventional kitchen for a central hibachi grill around which diners watch their food being prepared before their eyes.

Boasting a wide range of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes traditionally cooked Benihana offers a unique Japanese dining experience not to be missed.

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
