£620 for 8 including wine/ cocktails- food was nice but hugely overpriced. 12.5% service charge too. I have to say food is cooked In Front of you and there's entertainment in watching the chef. Bit of a show They put birthdays up on a screen and sing happy birthday too. Nice touches but it's like eating in a noisy bar.

We were invited at this restaurant and although knowing that teppanyaki as we know it, is a bit outdated, we could not refuse the invitation. The food is ok. Nothing to write about. Not bad not awesome. Show is funny but once you ve seen it before, it doesn't impress you. Conclusion is, if you haven't been there, then go.... More

I popped into Benihana kings road on a Monday evening to grab some dinner. It was half empty. I shared the lobster meal with my guest and it was just enough for a light dinner. It's one of those places you have to visit to see what it's about but the food was nothing special. It's over priced and I... More

Expensive but really fun restaurant where chef comes to your table (with lots of patter and laughs) and cooks on a hot plate in front of you. Beyond the 'theatre' the food is good but it is expensive. However - it is worth it.....

I had a great meal here, the good-value six courses for £29 deal. A group of six friends, we sat around the hot plate and enjoyed the chef's performance as he flicked and flipped our dinner around. It's not Cirque du Soleil juggler expertise but it's fun, and the chef had a bit of banter to keep us entertained too.... More

A very nice meal with lots of entertainment value and nice food. Probably not the best Japanese food I've tasted but all in all worth a visit but not cheap!

We went here to celebrate a friends 30th birthday. The staff made a special effort to put a birthday display on the wall and sing to the birthday girl which was a nice touch The menu is relatively small but there is a nice selection. I think the cheapest meal on the menu was around 25 pounds but all meals... More

Went as a larger group so had to book on the early sitting to fit. From past experience at teppanyaki, this time felt a little short lived as our table was to be reused later on. Food was good but not outstanding, Wish we had a bit more of a show!

The restaurant was very accommodating to our slightly late arrival. The chef we had was nice and really engaging. I would have to say that the style that the food comes out in does take a while and by the time you have received everything you're already full from picking at everything. For example, I had steak and prawns &... More

Description
Elegant Japanese styling and delicious fresh food await you at London's Benihana Restaurant.

Benihana is a favourite not only of tourists but of locals fresh from the nearby offices, relaxing with colleagues or indeed entertaining clients.

In keeping with the Benihana brand the chain began in New York way back in 1964, this means that this year, 2014 is our 50th anniversary.

This superb Japanese restaurant swaps the conventional kitchen for a central hibachi grill around which diners watch their food being prepared before their eyes.

Boasting a wide range of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes traditionally cooked Benihana offers a unique Japanese dining experience not to be missed.

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
