I had long been interested in going to Scott's but never had the occasion. I enjoyed my visit and would go again but wasn't blown away. It was in a sense entirely as expected - which is a good thing. Very posh and a bit of a luvvie crowd but didn't feel snobbish and the staff and overall service was... More

Certainly the best and freshest seafood and fish in London. This restaurant is a blend of "brasserie" style cuisine and fine gourmet dishes. Our server, Guillaume, was professional and helpful, and the food, from the delicious potted shrimp to the crab salad to the oysters for starters were so fresh as well as the sole we had for our main... What a wonderful place - clean, fresh and extremely attentive service combined with balanced menu and delicious food. Hard to find fault and although pricey, worth it in my opinion as a lot of effort goes into looking after the customer.

A standard of excellence that would be hard to beat. The ambiance, staff food exceptional. A really wonderful experience. And despite being famous for seafood they had a separate vegetarian menu which for me is perfect.

Returning after happy memories we found Scotts to be a faux impersonator of the place it once was. Overrun by tourists, many simply milling about in the lobby and between tables and suffocated by overweening, irritating service We couldn't wait to leave. The usual astronomical bill made it an experience to forget. There really are so many better places to... More

Invited by friends on a hot sunny afternoon. The oysters were very good, the lobster as well. The turbot for two was divine and the soles very good but rather large. All products are very fresh and must be among the finest in London. Excellent service throughout.

I went there only once so far, but that was a great time. I was with my friend, we came without reservation on, i think, Thursday evening a couple of months ago. As I realized later, there was an extra surpise for us that evening - but later on that. We were offered to seat very quickly. The food was... More

A great welcome, great menu, great service and imply great food. Fantastic Oyster selection. Attentive service, yet not overdone so that one feels comfortable. Sat outside watching life going by while enjoying the meal.

Thank John J

Originally an oyster warehouse, Scott's has been serving up its legendary seafood since 1851. A conveniently short walk from Green Park and Bond Street tube stations, this Mayfair mainstay uses burgundy leather banquettes and subdued lighting to create an air of old-school elegance which reflects the restaurant's chic clientele. Designed by Martin Brudnizki and highlighted by the exquisite bar topped with onyx and finished in stingray skin, the revamped interior of Scott's still carries the 1960's glamour of yesteryear. Traditional fish and seafood dishes dominate the menu, although seasonal meat and game make an appearance. Atlantic Halibut, Dover Sole and Lobster have proven to be popular choices, and there is also a Roasted Shellfish platter for two to share. The famous oyster bar with its three-metre crustacean display offers a more relaxed dining area and there is also an art deco-style private dining room, ideal for canapé receptions, press launches and private celebrations.

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
