I dined here with my family in September 2016 on a Sunday evening for dinner. We had all eaten here once before, so this was our second visit. Our first visit was fantastic as well, but this visit was just among one of the best dining experiences we ever had. As we left the restaurant, Adam Clayton from U2 parked... More

We have eaten here several times, and never been disappointed. The service is excellent, discreet and never overbearing. The food is delightfully cooked and presented, even at busy times. Looking forward to our next visit already

This is quite an expensive restaurant with service and ambiance to match. If you are out to impress this is the place. Very hard to get into. Bookings essential. Food excellent. This is fine dining Mayfair style. One of Londons finest.

We tried lunch without reservation, which fortunately succeeded to occupy the last table. Great place for fish, very busy, but spacious enough for a decent conversation. Excellent service, fast enough for a business lunch but no rush. The grilled Turbot was served as a whole and prepared at the table, excellent! Great wine.

Sophisticated stylish London dining is a treat --- the stylish and yet upbeat art collection enhances a dining scene the enhances what Mayfair is atmospherically. The menu is very fish heavy and the oyster choices were voluminous. It's not for the budget minded at all but go enjoy and have a feast

Every visit to London we plan one evening’s dinner at Scott’s in Mayfair. After every visit, this one, in particular, we speak only in superlatives. Scott’s knows how to take care of its patrons, whether habitués, occasional visitors or high-level diplomats, without compromising its service to anyone. The night we were there, two foreign secretaries of respective countries arrived, along... More

Celebrated a birthday here and it was the perfect place. The waitress was very helpful in advising on the food and wine. In fact she gave us a more expensive wine than we had ordered and as it was a mistake, we were charged for the cheaper one. The starters of oysters were excellent and so was the warm foie... More

The service of this timeless classic favourite in London remains to a high standard if a little stuffy. The food is good if a little traditional but you always know what you are going to get here and should never be disappointed.

Originally an oyster warehouse, Scott's has been serving up its legendary seafood since 1851. A conveniently short walk from Green Park and Bond Street tube stations, this Mayfair mainstay uses burgundy leather banquettes and subdued lighting to create an air of old-school elegance which reflects the restaurant's chic clientele. Designed by Martin Brudnizki and highlighted by the exquisite bar topped with onyx and finished in stingray skin, the revamped interior of Scott's still carries the 1960's glamour of yesteryear. Traditional fish and seafood dishes dominate the menu, although seasonal meat and game make an appearance. Atlantic Halibut, Dover Sole and Lobster have proven to be popular choices, and there is also a Roasted Shellfish platter for two to share. The famous oyster bar with its three-metre crustacean display offers a more relaxed dining area and there is also an art deco-style private dining room, ideal for canapé receptions, press launches and private celebrations.

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
