I had lunch here with an old friend of mine, we meet up in London only a few times a year and we wanted somewhere with good atmosphere as well as great food and service, and Scott's duly delivered on all fronts. We both had seafood for both starter and main and each course was fantastic. The service was excellent... More

First Lunch in London after a long travel day and mediocre food on United. We were hungry and ready for a great meal. We were not disappointed! This restaurant is primarily seafood. We started with oysters with two handmade exceptional shallot mignonette vinaigrettes, followed by a field greens salad and then a Dover Sole with brown butter. Perfection. The service... More

My first visit to Scott's was more than 40 years ago during the European honeymoon of an eventually failed marriage. Too bad it took so long for a return visit -- just last month. I'll certainly enjoy a meal at the bar again in June, 2017, my next visit to London. What a terrific dining experience! I discovered that Scott's... More

Visited Scott's after reading reviews. It was my wife's 60th birthday and I wanted to treat her to a nice meal. Staff were excellent and very attentive, unfortunately the food was below par. The starters were served and were very good, it went wrong with the main course, we ordered the shellfish platter for 2 and this is where it... More

Fabulous seafood selection, although I enjoyed the venison tenderloins and they were excellent. Dined at the bar but service was still very attentive. It is rather dark and noticeably loud but the food more than makes up for it. Highly recommended!

Very nice seafood! The restaurant is very cozy, you can have dinner at the table or at the bar. The quality of the food is very hig and the wine cellar extensive! The only bad thing is the service... The staff is really rude

Scotts is simply up there with the best of them. A wonderful atmosphere but not too loud, we went on a Monday night and every table was taken which contributed to the whole experience. The level of service and attention to detail was outstanding. We all ordered something different, starter, main and dessert, every dish was simply delicious. Fresh produce... More

If you love anything fishy this is the place for you. Went for dinner on a Saturday evening but could only get in at the early sitting and told we had a two hour slot as they would need the table back, luckily for us they didn't and we were able to have more time. The ambience is great, the staff are... More

Scott's is a delightful cheery restaurant in Mayfair. Booked a Saturday night reservation 2-3 weeks in advance. Hostess was delightful and happy to accommodate us by moving us to a quieter corner table. Sashimi appetizer was the best. Octopus carpaccio also was a great starter. Miso glazed salmon was perfect. My partner had the 1/2 lobster which was cooked to... More

Originally an oyster warehouse, Scott's has been serving up its legendary seafood since 1851. A conveniently short walk from Green Park and Bond Street tube stations, this Mayfair mainstay uses burgundy leather banquettes and subdued lighting to create an air of old-school elegance which reflects the restaurant's chic clientele. Designed by Martin Brudnizki and highlighted by the exquisite bar topped with onyx and finished in stingray skin, the revamped interior of Scott's still carries the 1960's glamour of yesteryear. Traditional fish and seafood dishes dominate the menu, although seasonal meat and game make an appearance. Atlantic Halibut, Dover Sole and Lobster have proven to be popular choices, and there is also a Roasted Shellfish platter for two to share. The famous oyster bar with its three-metre crustacean display offers a more relaxed dining area and there is also an art deco-style private dining room, ideal for canapé receptions, press launches and private celebrations.

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
