We went and the place was packed, 20 minute wait for a table. So I'd recommend making a reservation which is what we did ahead of time. We were seated promptly and were pleasantly surprised with the price of the dishes and ambience. We ordered several dishes each as good as the next one. The dry meat definitely had a... More

I haven't been to this place for about 2 years because I became fed up with the crush and general mayhem of the place and I preferred Lahore kebab house down the road but this time we made sure of a less frenetic time for a late lunch at 3.30 - good move as it all went without tears! I... More

On a Friday evening we were standing in a long queue for 45 minutes to get a table. Its always better to book in advance. Test of the food was excellent. After testing the Delicious food one may forget about the waiting time. The hotel don't serve alcohol but one can bring his/her won.

I heard good things about this place so we decided to book our evening meal at this restaurant whilst we were in London recently at our friends party. The restaurant is very busy but I must say this place don't match our local restaurants in terms of food quality.service isn't any better either.

This place has had rave reviews so thought we would give it a try. Having been there don't know what the fuss is about and would not go there again. Its a big restaurant with a queue for tables which we knew about but cannot fathom out its popularity. Menu extremely limited - unless you adore lamb (which I don't).... More

Tayyabs provides a memorable experience, It's hectic, crowded and noisy, but the food is flavorful, well-prepared, and delicious. The grilled lamb chops are memorable, the curries distinctive, and the nan very well presented. The mango drink is excellent, but if you want a beer with your spicy dinner, bring your own..

After bringing us the wrong starters, they then didn't bring two of our main course curries. When we asked them, they said they didn't have any left of what we ordered, that's why they didn't bring it. What kind of restaurant's reaction to customers ordering something that has run out is just to bring nothing? Why on earth didn't they... More

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighborhood Profile
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
