Brilliant views across the rooftops over Trafalgar Square and beyond, excellent value lunch menu, good cocktails, charming service which was attentive without being intrusive or over bearing. Really couldn't fault any aspect of it.

Our experience was made even more special by the fact it was a very foggy evening. The view was mystical - fog, roof tops, diffused light from the street lamps. The choices for the pre-theatre dinner were appropriate. They have a variety of side dishes which were very good portions; enough to share for two or three people. They have... More

We enjoyed a dinner for six. The place and the views were perfect. The service really good as well. But I think it could be better only if they cared about small details. We ordered a ribeye. The meat was good but sadly the sides was cooked with an awful oil. In my opinion those kind of things can't happen... More

We really enjoyed our lunch at the restaurant this week. The set menu was good value and really delicious. The service was attentive but not over done. The restaurant has a nice vibe and we loved the great views. We were celebrating my Mum's birthday whilst in London and I had noted this in my booking. The restaurant provided a... More

It is essential to book as they get busy, understandably. The pre-theatre dinner offers a limited choice menu. Four of us had different food and it was downright delicious. Service is efficient and the view outside is great. Strongly recommended.

Finally after numerous trips to London we went for High Tea and we couldn't have chosen a better place. The view was amazing at sunset and the sandwiches, scones, desserts were, what can I say AMAZING. We were lucky enough to get a window seat with a view right out over Trafalgar Square with Big Ben in the distance and... More

Food service and view were amazing. I would thoroughly recommend it. It was a Saturday and quite busy but this did not affect the service and quality of food.

The restaurant offers a very reasonable and tasty pre theatre meal. Although a small selection of dishes it was just right for early evening washed down with a glass of wine. Really liked the pleasant and friendly service, not so keen on the acoustics as conversation was at times difficult. But hey. This is not an all evening restaurant so... More

I visited the Taylor Wessing Portrait exhibition recently at the National Portrait Gallery. It was a terrible day, quite a downpour and the traffic was chaotic, I had been looking for somewhere to eat. Pret a Manger caught my eye, it was across the street, but I opted to take the safer option and skip it. I was delighted to... More

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
