Superb Spanish tapas. Nearest you will get to the real thing. Iberico ham and tomato bread to die for as well as a good selection of fresh seafood. Be prepared to queue!!

Went with my Brother for a fun early dinner. And that was the way to go. They do not take reservations! Restaurant is very small. Don't come with a large group - there is no spot for you. All counter seating so you get to watch your food being prepared. I loved that. Nice, reasonable wine selection. My favorite was... More

Had the pleasure of dining again at Barrafina for lunch recently. We were waiting in a queue before they opened at 1pm, but got seated once they opened. We got a seat right in front of the head chef, with views of both sides of the bar. Perfect location to be able to see everything that was happening and all... More

Wanted somewhere nice to go with the wife. We checked it out on trip advisor and it came up trumps. It didn't disappoint. The food was really good, the place was really cool and it was a treat! It's what you'd expect from a Tapas place. I don't think anything stood out to say 'wow' this was a great experience... More

Great food in an exciting environment! You should expect to queue if you are dining here, but it is worth the wait and table turnover is very quick. The atmosphere is vibrant, frantic, and enjoyable, with the chefs preparing the food in front of you. The wine and drinks choices are suitably varied. Most importantly the food is excellent!

Went with a group of colleagues; we booked the private area; we managed to fit 30 people. Any more it would uncomfortable and difficult to move around. We could chose our menu; which had about 7-8 tapas for starter. The main course had a choice of meat or seafood. And to finish 2 choices of desert. We had 2 very... More

Last month I took the opportunity to eat at Barrafina. I heard well about the fish and about the Michelin star so I wanted to try it. We had to queue up for 1.5 hour but as aspected the food was impeccable, really special tastes and amazing seafood (especially the tuna tartar). Congratulation to the kitchen staff, very well done.... More

If there's a queue (and there will be) just stand in it and allow your mouth to water at the sight of all the freshly prepared tapas. It's the best in London by far. Been loads and still keep coming back. All the seafood is amazing. Clams and mussels today. Outstanding. Staff so friendly and only too happy to help... More

Wow!! You could easily just walk past this place! One of the best tapas you will experience in London. Be brave and order several dishes to get the full flavour of this place. My favourites: tomato bruschetta (or whatever they call it there), the tortilla with the runny egg in the middle, the octopus, the Iberico pork special (when available... More

Barrafina is an authentic Spanish tapas bar located in London's Soho. It serves a traditional but contemporary, regional a la carte menu and there is a daily blackboard of specials, created by Executive Head Chef, Barragan Mohacho. Barrafina operates a first come first serve queuing system, and does not take reservations for their 23 stools. However, part of the fun of dining there is eating little bites and sipping on something delicious while making the line. The kitchen is open and guests are close to all the action and drama while their food is prepared.

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
