The best tapas in London !!!!! You may have to wait up to a hour for a seat but my god it's worth it .... Michelin star quality food the Spanish omelette is to die for and the octopus is so fresh . I love this place, get your self down there and see what the fuss is about

Brilliant staff, amazing food. This is my favourite seat in the world. Well done to the team, keep it up, your concentration is commendable. I can't wait to be back. I will qualify this review, As a family twice a year we fly from The Highlands of Scotland to lunch here as a day trip.

Came here as we saw that it seems to be very popular amongst people in Soho. We stood in line for 1.5 hours, why not just take the number and call when a table is free? Anyways.....the food is very fresh however it's not typical tapas like we were expecting. Don't get me wrong, the food was great but I... More

I've eaten here over the years many times and on every occasion it has always delivered the goods and can't fault it.I have every faith that following its move to Quo Vadis it will reach new levels of excellence. Ate here last Friday lunchtime with a Barrafina 'virgin' who pronounced it later as the best place we ate on a... More

We stumbled upon this gem right around the corner from our hotel. Not realizing the commitment we were making, we queued up outside the door on Firth at 6:30PM, We didn't quite believe it would actually be over a 2 hour wait, but having spent a wonderful time in London, we were in the right frame of mind, the evening... We just got back from Barcelona and so where missing tapas I found this recommended on trip adviser and so was keen to try it. We arrived around 8:30 on the Saturday night and there was around 2 groups in front of us so we ended up waiting around an hour for a seat. We had some olives and tomato... More

Went here in Saturday and it's the best tapas restaurant in London - you feel like you are eating tapas in Barcelona! Staff very friendly and explain all the dishes. It takes a while to get a seat at the food bar but it's well worth the wait. Always ask what's on the specials list as they offer great fresh... More

This is the second time i have visited. And i can safely say it was just as good the second time round as the first. The food comes out at great pace, super fresh. Great service and chat from the team. Amazing. Make sure you have the Octopus and the Sesame Tuna. Oh and the courgette flower is to die... More

Superb Spanish tapas. Nearest you will get to the real thing. Iberico ham and tomato bread to die for as well as a good selection of fresh seafood. Be prepared to queue!!

Went with my Brother for a fun early dinner. And that was the way to go. They do not take reservations! Restaurant is very small. Don't come with a large group - there is no spot for you. All counter seating so you get to watch your food being prepared. I loved that. Nice, reasonable wine selection. My favorite was... More

Description
Barrafina is an authentic Spanish tapas bar located in London's Soho. It serves a traditional but contemporary, regional a la carte menu and there is a daily blackboard of specials, created by Executive Head Chef, Barragan Mohacho. Barrafina operates a first come first serve queuing system, and does not take reservations for their 23 stools. However, part of the fun of dining there is eating little bites and sipping on something delicious while making the line. The kitchen is open and guests are close to all the action and drama while their food is prepared.

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
