Me and my brother decided to get there early as We've been wanting to go for a long time but it's always too busy which is a great thing. It's obviously good, successful and worth the wait. It's great to see businesses succeed in such a tough market. When we arrived we were sat at counter facing the chefs. It's... More

We went to Barrafine on Dean St last Friday night. The service was great and all the staff were lovely / helpful / attentive but we were really disappointed with the food! I would say the tapas was "above average" but certainly nothing special compared to the Salt Yard, Condensa (Maiden lane) - we had the octopus (tender, but stringy... More

We tried this much anticipated Michelin starred tapas restaurant in January. You certainly need to get here well before it opens to get a seat as the queue was already formidable 15minutes before opening! The restaurant is small but nice and bright and airy and excedingly clean. The staff are friendly, polite and efficient but we were a little disappointed... More

Great tapas in a relaxed atmosphere. The large prawn and the octopus were really amazing! In summer sitting outside is just perfect

We arrived by 7ish and were seated by 8ish. The queue was fairly long but you could order snacks and drinks whilst you waited. We were seated at the bar along with everybody else. You could see food being prepared which personally I love! It makes the whole experience more unique and personal, like someone is cooking a private meal... More

Worth queuing for. Great food and great atmosphere. Everything is prepared in front of you as you sit at the bar -or there were some seats at the window. There was a good choice of food. Only about 20 (?) people can be seated. The people waiting for seats stand behind you with their drinks and appetisers but we didn't... More

Meal is excellent! the title says so. If you're hungry, order more because portion is well, tapas sized portions. Some things jumped up to my mind, the octopus is a must try, likewise with the pig's ear and the refreshing scallop carpaccio. Make sure you come early, line up if you must before they open due to limited seats available.

I last visited just before its move to Dean Street. We arrived about an hour after it opened and were told there would be an hour and a quarter wait which turned out to be spot on. You can order drinks and snacks while you wait and the staff are good at keeping things moving. There're hooks under the bar... More

Description
Barrafina is an authentic Spanish tapas bar located in London's Soho. It serves a traditional but contemporary, regional a la carte menu and there is a daily blackboard of specials, created by Executive Head Chef, Barragan Mohacho. Barrafina operates a first come first serve queuing system, and does not take reservations for their 23 stools. However, part of the fun of dining there is eating little bites and sipping on something delicious while making the line. The kitchen is open and guests are close to all the action and drama while their food is prepared.

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
