As the title says its all. Totally overrated and overpriced. The food is normal which doesn't really worth an hour of wait. The service I would call it "poor". We were arranged to be seated at outdoor. The male middle-aged waiter gave us bad time by giving the bad eye and the face of discontent. We had no idea what... More

We wanted to eat here but there was a 2 hour wait and as we had tickets to the theatre so could not wait. Life is too short to spend a prolonged period on time to queue. This place is 'first come first serve so you can't book. Not very helpful for someone who has a physical disability and can't... More

Queue system and Q builds after 5.30pm. You get only 1 hour 15 mins so you've got to utilise your time well. They won't allow you to sit unless it's full party as they have really limited seats. We waited for about an hour but it was worth it. Cold cut platter, croquetas, black rice, carabinero (large prawn), octopus and... More

At last they have moved to a larger place on street over. Same ques, same no booking, same wonderful food. Chips with brava sauce was so so, the cecina de lean ham delicious £14.80. Grilled chorizo excellent and tasty as was the octopus £12.50. Cheerful service, busy but worth the wait. Not every dish was great.

This is the most recent branch of Barrafina the Spanish tapas bars which have taken London by storm. It nestles what used to be Quo Vadis restaurant. Like its other branches seating is primarily at bar stools which give a commanding view of the chefs at work in the long galley kitchen behind. I was lucky this lunchtime to grab... More

As stated in previous reviews the restaurant is very busy with the line to get in starting well before they open. With very high expectations we ordered 3 tapas each with the recommended wine. While he staff was very nice, the food did not live up to our expectations. Overall too bland and oily. I would rate the restaurant as... More

I visited the restaurant a while ago with my friend. We had a great experience! We had to wait a while but it was so worth it. The service was very good and we really enjoy it. Definitely recommend it!

Barrafina is super trendy, with a wide array of larger tapas. Be there by 5PM or be ready to wait 1 to 2 hours. at Dean St. location. No reservations. The ham selection is excellent, chicken romesco super tasty. Some of the other dishes underwhelmed us, including the fried calamari, fennel salad and fried oxtail balls. But lots to choose... More

Having been to a few Michelin star restaurants, I was excited to try a tapas restaurant that earned this recognition. My experience, however, was far from great and became memorable in a negative way. I arrived with my wife at the restaurant 2.5 hours before closing. There was a line of people outside, so we waited for around 45 minutes... More

Barrafina is an authentic Spanish tapas bar located in London's Soho. It serves a traditional but contemporary, regional a la carte menu and there is a daily blackboard of specials, created by Executive Head Chef, Barragan Mohacho. Barrafina operates a first come first serve queuing system, and does not take reservations for their 23 stools. However, part of the fun of dining there is eating little bites and sipping on something delicious while making the line. The kitchen is open and guests are close to all the action and drama while their food is prepared.

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
