Outstanding food. The fish selection was awesome and described beautifully by the owner. Trying the sherry and some chilled red wine is a must!

We were at 4 top rated restaurants in London - Barrafina, Duck&Waffle, The palomer, Barbary. I'll rate it #2 Place only because it takes long waiting and they don't take reservations. The food was great and special, the service even more! Highly recommend!

Food was great, atmosphere was vibrant with music and Flamingo dancer while we dined. Visiting our daughter who is in London for a semester and it was great end to a day spent at the British Museum.

Our server did not check on us after the first dish was served. Glasses were empty not once but twice. The octopus was fishy and chewy. The starters were a bit better. Not worth the wait 1hr plus wait. Not recommended

Small, Authentic and great service. Yes, if you dont time your visit just right you will have to wait a long time. This was our case the first night we tried to dine here, e arrived around 9 PM. The host was honest and advised the kitchen closes at 11 PM and the wait was so long we may not... More

I have been here twice now and it always delivers. My latest visit was on a Saturday night and as you might expect was super busy and the queue for a table was pretty long, took close to a hour to be sat. However we were able to order some food and drink as you wait. The servers were rushed... More

3 of us met up in Soho for food and drinks and decided to go to Barrafina. I had never been before and one of our friends we were with recommended it. When we turned up the queue was outside the door. A waitress met us up the door and informed us kindly that there would be an hour and... More

We waited in line on a Saturday night with a friend from out of town and we didn't regret it. It took a bit of time, so not where you should go in a hurry, but you should make the time. Ordering cocktails and snacks in line was a genius move. The octopus was exquisite.

Just had a very good experience at Barrafina, one of many since I have been coming here for years. Carabineros, octopus, pimientos del padrón, monk fish, artichokes....everything was excellent, freshly prepared in front of you and the produce is top quality. Room is buzzy, service is very good. What is there not to love? A bit pricey but worth it.

I have been here twice now, and on both occasions the staff couldn't have been more attentive to our needs. The food and wine they recommended was superb - couldn't fault it!

Thank Thomas M

Barrafina is an authentic Spanish tapas bar located in London's Soho. It serves a traditional but contemporary, regional a la carte menu and there is a daily blackboard of specials, created by Executive Head Chef, Barragan Mohacho. Barrafina operates a first come first serve queuing system, and does not take reservations for their 23 stools. However, part of the fun of dining there is eating little bites and sipping on something delicious while making the line. The kitchen is open and guests are close to all the action and drama while their food is prepared.

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
