Part of the regeneration of a rundown part of Paddington this restaurant serves a captive area. Its big circular tables are ideal for convivial, large gatherings. The food is not worse nor better than any High Street 'Chinese'. The service was provided mainly by one person who needed to be asked (at least) twice for any request. At first this... More

I work near Pearl Liang and pop in for lunch from time to time. It is always advisable to book a table as they get very busy. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. I always find that going in a group works best, because then you can share and get to taste a lot of dishes. The... More

Came on the recommendation of many friends, and was not disappointed. The lobster noodles here were the best I have tasted aside from Mandarin Kitchen, and better than in HK. The Peking duck wasn't bad either. Next time I will have to try the dim sum. Service is very good, but slow, as the restaurant was packed and severely understaffed.... More

Couldn't book online as showing no tables but one phone call and spoke with the manager Phil and it was efficiently sorted out. The food as always was good, with the steamed Dim sum being very fresh - ok it was the first sitting but it was still great. the service was good, food and all in all a firm... More

This is a regular for us. Been there too many times to count and each time we have never been disappointed either in the Dim Sum or the Mains. Have introduced many newbies to chinese food there and each time a success.

Great place with high quality dim sum. We booked the private dining room for our party of 10 at a reasonable rate. Service was attentive and the food was of a high quality. Thank you for a fabulous birthday lunch full of delicious food, you have to try the Dover sole, amazing!

I came to this restaurant a few times with family and found it much above average. Excellent actually. So I returned for a business dinner for 15. The service was good but found the set menu (51£ per head) to be of mixed quality. Some of the dishes were infact rather bland. Both soups (the chicken and Sharks' Finn soup... More

First experience of a good restaurant is not its food but the warm welcome as you enter.. Staff of this restaurant is absolutely terrible from start to end... It's the Manager's behaviour permeating into staff ... None was courteous to take the order to putting food on table until clearing of bills. The entire staff needs 'hospitality training', reduce oil... More

The Pearl Liang is one of the best Chinese restaurant I have been too, in London or anywhere else for that matter. Fantastic selection of a very full menu. The set lunch menu is recommended, but if you want to select one item the crispy duck is absolutely to die for. The place is good for business, family or groups.... More

Whilst staying at a hotel nearby we went to this restaurant on two occasions. We did not book but as it was only two people we were easily accomodated but I suggest with several it may be better to book as the restaurant was fairly full. We started with a serve of vietnamese spring rolls. I had sizzling King prawns... More
