We entertained friends and family to lunch upstairs, the day after a family wedding. We had the room to ourselves, were looked after well and the food was genuinely delicious.

First time visiting this pub as a friend an I needed a midway point for a meet up and lunch. So glad we chose this place, both of us had the roast lamb shoulder and couldn't fault it. Lovely presentation and absolutely delicious meal. I also had a few of the ales available on draft, which were also very nice.... More

This is our second time here for a traditional Sunday roast - the kids love the atmosphere with the old comfy armchairs - and the food is good too (and reasonably inline with prices for the area!). Great Yorkshire puds too! 😋 They do kids portions of the mains, as well as having a kids menu. Dogs are welcome (under... More

After a long day of travel, we found this local pub only a block away from our apartment. It was a wonderful atmosphere on a Friday night. Asking about local beers, our waiter returned with samples of each for both of us to try! This was not expected, but so appreciated. We both picked different beers and were very happy... More

This pub has been a very good surprise. Price wise and good quality it is the best we have been during my trip in London. The location is great and they have a beautiful second floor decorated with nice stuff where you can feel comfortable. Everything is fresh and homemade. I recommend the "Lamb rump main dish" with a glass... More

We were visiting from Australia and went to the Walmer Castle 3 times. We had 2 meals, all of which were beautifully cooked, generous portions and good prices. Ask about the children's meals, which aren't advertised but are perfect for £5.50.

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
