This is about great food that is well presented. The table layout is basically one long table across the restaurant and you obviously say hello to you dining neighbours. I had the Shakshuka for breakfast which was excellent. The service was prompt and efficient. You can also buy a selection of takeaway foods that look amazing

Very good food, tapas style - so make sure to order enough dishes. Unusual layout, long and narrow with shop at front and bench style eating at back.

Ottolenghi in Islington, like other branches, has amazing food that is healthy, interesting and a little different. It is a crowded spot and can feel a bit squashed on the communal tables. Only real criticism is that coffee not brilliant. But worth a visit for a treat... It's a pricy, but good option.

All the food tasted delicious but portion sizes were not generous given the price. 4 small plates, 2 desserts and 2 coffees came to £60. I think the layout and atmosphere of the restaurant doesn't really suit those kind of prices as we were seated in the middle of a communal table.

The food is excellent, but the refectory layout seems to suit some diners better than others. I cannot fault the restaurant staff or the chef, both service and food were faultless, but we were sat with diners who clearly resented being on the same table as others. It doesn't bother me, but if others are making their discomfort clear, it... More

We visited Ottolenghi on a business lunch and were very impressed. The staff were attentive and well mannered and the food was delicious and filling. The dessert display in the window was so inviting that we made sure to finish our meals with something sweet! Overall, this place is a great choice.

Great ambiance, great wait staff, fabulous food , prices are typical for London. The food is why we went, It was fresh, using creative ingredients with amazing flavours. The meals are served tapas style so can easily be shared if you wish. We had three cold plates and two hot plates, all of which we would order again, especially the... More

I found this place last year when I was alone and looking for a place to have dinner before a show at the Almeida Theatre. I liked it so much that I brought my husband's two daughters here on our visit to London this year. It's a great place to go either alone or in company. The food is imaginative... More

I kind of expected some of the freshness and shine to have faded with Ottolenghi's first outlet, but no, it was exciting, well staffed and bursting with abundant platters of sweet and savoury breakfast, snack and spoil-yourself indulgences. My wife and I sat down for a hearty breakfast and were not disappointed, hearty it was. The standout dish was the... More
