Despite the fact that you cannot book a table at lunch time it is well worth the wait. The food was excellent quality and delicious flavours and the staff are very friendly, attentive and helpful. Nice atmosphere and we enjoyed the whole experience.

We visited Ottolenghi for lunch and soon learned just why this place is regarded as a special place to enjoy breakfast and lunch. The food was fresh, tasty and delightful and the long table seating arrangements are fun and managed superbly. We can recommend the seared roast beef with marinated peppers. Our only regret was missing an opportunity to return... More

This is definitely the best out of all the ottolenghi's in London - yes, I've been to them all. The others are very small and only one cramped communal table inside. This one has proper seating and is quite big. The cakes are the best I've ever had and always tasty and different. They are very expensive though and it's... More

Went for lunch on a weekday. Got a table for two quickly and had the main and 3 salads for £17.00 which is obviously top end but it is worth it. The food was amazing. Every mouthful was a pure delight. The cakes were also out of this world particularly the Finacier which looks simple but tastes incredible. The staff... More

My husband and I recently had dinner here during a trip to London. We had wanted to come here for a long time and we were not disappointed by the food. There were some unusual flavour combinations but everything worked really well. I especially loved the heritage carrots and the roasted cauliflower. As a vegetarian it was great to have... More

Ottolenghi is one of those names you hear, but I really had no idea what he was all about and wasn't that bothered either. A friend, who is a fan, organised a group Christmas dinner here, so off we went. It was a weekday evening but still very busy (oh yes, get a reservation!) and our table wasn't ready. However,... Even if you can't afford to eat there you should at least go and have a look at the window on Upper Street. The meringues are the biggest I have ever seen and just make your mouth water. This is an expensive place to eat, so be prepared to pay. The cakes are fabulous and a real treat as our... More

Came here for brunch one Sunday in a group of four. We were seated basically straightaway which seemed lucky as it was peak time for Sunday brunch. Service was attentive without being intrusive - coffee orders taken promptly, water glasses constantly refilled, etc. The food itself was delicious - I read some of the reviews here which suggested the portion... Not sure how they make it, but I have a mocha a few times a week from here and it is easily the best I've had anywhere in the world. (Sydney, New York, Paris, Rome, etc etc). Rich and smooth without being too sweet.
