I've visited the Wolseley many many times breakfast, lunch and dinner- plus 'snacks' in that little nook at the front on the right and it's always delicious food with electric atmosphere. Love it.

I stopped by this restaurant after a day of sightseeing and I'm glad I did. The first thing you notice as soon as you enter the building is the ambience of the place. I was promptly seated for lunch and was given some of the best service I've had in years. I felt like I was being served at Buckingham... More

La Spéciale de Claires, 1/2 dozen 生蠔六顆 (16.50) Bavette 牛腰腹肉 (18.00) Chicken Soup with a Half Salt Beef Sandwich 雞肉湯和半份鹽味牛肉三明治 (14.75) 我只能說,來 The Wolseley 還是吃下午茶好了XD 生蠔不行,牛肉還ok,三明治普通。生蠔非常瘦而且死鹹,我們應該要選 Borough Market 的Q 三明治的牛肉很嫩,但是調味死板,半個份量不算少,不過我沒吃完。牛排算是比較ok的,但是份量太少,薯條表現不優。 I can only say, come to The Wolseley for tea and tea only lol. The oysters didn’t even reach average— they are too skinny and salty. The beef sandwich was... More

The have many types of breakfast here, i am writing about the croissant only. They also have many types of croissant, but i am only focusing on the plain ones. The plain croissant here is a tasty one, not too oily, not too dry, and you could feel the texture and layers, i just had them for breakfast, nothing else... More

I was here on Sunday to celebrate a milestone birthday with my family. It's a beautiful building, wonderful buzzy atmosphere. Loved the food, wine and the service. Everyone was so warm and friendly. Special thanks to the lady with elfin haircut (sorry I don't have her name!); she was especially warm and attentive. I've been here before for breakfast and... More

Visited for afternoon tea. Restaurant incredibly noisy. Given table for two with no tablecloth.Had to wait quite a time for tea to be brought out. Usual sandwiches ,scones, cake nice but nothing special. The staff were inattentive. We were asked as we were putting on our coats to leave if we wanted more sandwiches this was an hour after tea... I had ordered a burger and it was ok. You have to catch up the breakfast time because after 11 they stop serving breakfast except eggs. The waitress were friendly. The place look like a place we're business men have lunch. The prices consider high.

This was as expected. The Wolseley provided an excellent level of service. The bloody marys were a great start to the breakfast celebration. The buzz of the place creates a wonderful ambience together with the interiors. Wasn't so keen on the haggis and duck egg, but good to try something new!

Thank mjgod

Staying in St. James's

Neighborhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
