This is a classic french brassier in the heart of the city. The atmosphere is great, staff attentive and food glorious. Also the wine list is good too.

We had an early breakfast here on a recent Sunday morning around 08:30 and had walked the ca. 15 minutes from the JW Marriott we were staying at for the week-end (excellent hotel btw, read my separate review for that) to this all-day cafe / restaurant. The Wolseley is located right next-door to The Ritz, and its location is very... More

I went with a group of friends to celebrate our birthdays for afternoon tea and I must say everything about The Wolsley is A star fantastic. We had a lovely area at the back of the ground floor which meant we had perfect views of the whole floor. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman who took us to our... More

This was so difficult to rate. The ambience, food and interior are all wonderful and the management were amazing. However our wine was taken from the table to the chiller at the back of the restaurant but when the waiter returned to refill our glasses he came back with a different wine and a near empty bottle? The waiters then... More

Staying in St. James's

Neighborhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
