Time was a decade or two ago when this was the new kid on the block. In the meantime Martin Lam's Ransome Dock restaurant, and even it's successor Source, have come and gone. So this stalwart of SW11 must be doing something right. On the evidence of our visit for a late Sunday lunch it's more likely to be the... More

I can't write anything bad nor anything raving about this chain. Butchered meats are good. Has a small market for specialty items and nice wines, but pricey. Good coffee. There is not much in the area, so it is ok, but could be better. Has room for improvement.

I went here for a first date. Staff was lovely, food was easy. Perfect place to go to with friends, family or a date. Outdoor area at the back surprised me and had a great view over the waterway and felt rather quaint, almost as if we were in a different city. We were given blankets as the chilly Autumn... More

I had a T- bone which was great and chewy however, the charred taste lingers which marred its overall taste. Overall, the setting did not change much from what I last remembered some 8 years ago when friends brought us here. It is a good place to have a nice steak and it is suitable for family meals. I would... More

Visited The Butcher and Grill on Saturday for breakfast and unfortunately left underwhelmed. Staff were friendly enough but did not seem totally engaged (maybe it was because we were relatively early 09.30). Eggs Benedict were VERY average, 'detox' drink was OK but not anything that 'wowed' One very off thing was the fact that they allowed a dog into the... More

Great evening, lovely atmosphere and tables outside on the quay. Wonderful steaks and the red wine jus was fantastic. Good portion sizes and sides were really good.

Ate outside on the quay; Rabit with bacon, chorizo, green bean, butter bean - perfect with pale ale. Low key, but with some life to it. Impeccable service. Will go again, still got the warm inner glow.

Steaks were tasty and sides were of high quality. Spinach in particular was nice as it was an ample portion to share. The main reason for the lower mark is that the service was very slow and uneven. We waited so long for the wine that the steaks had already been served. The couple next to us waited a good... More

Sorry but not a good place. Overpriced, tasteless food. £6.50 for two eggs and some avo on a tiny piece of toast. Not worth the hour wait. Skip it.
