The place has won a prize for cleanliness and indeed seems clean. t Also, the service was nice. But the food lacked in spices, the meat was over cooked, tired vegetables, and rice was just OK. Bottom line, I would not return to this place. The prices were low, but I wold prefer to pay more.

I was so disappointed that the old Moti Mahal has closed down. There are new owners and a new chef. The food is now distinctly average, in fact it was terrible. It used to be treat to come to the old Moti Mahal, but I shall never come back to the new version.

The one I went to was next door to travelodge on drury lane. Went for hottest dish on menu but tasted like a korma. But they kindly supplied a dried chili so broke that up and that added some heat thank God - charged £7 for cobra bottle that you can buy fpr £2. But waiter was very helpful in... More

Booked a table for a friends birthday and had a fantastic experience. They used to be located a few yards away but have moved now. Nevertheless, the food was amazing as usual even though I ordered off the menu, the staff were very helpful and the deserts they have are incredible, its a must have for those looking to try... Booked for a different restaurant and when we arrived in Great Queen St it was not at that address -rang to ask where they were. They then said they had moved (but didn't tell us when we booked). The one we then had to go to in Drury Lane used to be called Takari ( poor trip advisor reviews) but... More

By far this small cute little restaurant surprised us. It is few steps walk from the Natural History Museum. Very friendly staff, no nonsense. They prepare the food in basement and watch how the food is sent to the main level. Pretty cool 🙂

We had a very bad experience at Moti Mahal, the very opposite from the experience we had in 2012. The food had deteriorated and was bland at best. They seem to have lessened their ambitions in the kitchen. I had lamb´s brain as a starter with was ok, but the main vegetarian dishes were a tasteless disaster. Vegetarian indian dishes... More

This is a great shame. We ordered MM through the Deliveroo website once a fortnight. Best Indian by far far far. I hope the owners can alert TA to any new restaurant that they open in MM's place. I am the first customer.

Walking along Great Queen Street last night (29 Feb '16) I noticed with dread 'closed for business' signs in all windows. Their website today says they are permanently closed and thanks all customers over the last 10 years. I am really upset. I live nearby and this was a gem of a smart Indian restaurant serving reallyexcellent food. It became... More

By accentuating new tastes and flavours from India's richly woven history, the new menu at Moti Mahal is a feast for the senses.
