Description: Moti Mahal is the chic London outpost of the celebrated Delhi restaurant...
Moti Mahal is the chic London outpost of the celebrated Delhi restaurant which opened in 1959. 'An unexpected delight' (Hardens Guide), Inspired by the culinary roots of India, particularly along the famed Grand Trunk Road, Chef Anirudh Arora brings you time-honoured dishes and recipes. By accentuating new tastes and flavours from India's richly woven history, the new menu at Moti Mahal is a feast for the senses. A perfect setting, with curved glass-fronted kitchen and gleaming copper bar, and attentive service will transform your meal in a memorable experience, and Moti Mahal is also 'perfect before a show' (Zagat).

We maybe don't eat in enough really good restaurants but the service here is some of the best we've had anywhere. Booked online prior to our trip so a bit of a shot in the dark but delighted with our experience. Food was excellent and focuses on flavour rather than quantity. More expensive than your average curry but then this... More

Met a friend for a pre-Xmas meal here and we were very impressed. The restaurant is very elegant and smart in appearance, the staff were without exception friendly and helpful, and the food was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. It really felt like special occasion dining, and the a la carte menu would have to be reserved for that as... More

Great quality of the food and good selection of beverages, impeccable service, but lacks its own atmosphere and is slightly overpriced.

We all took the pre-theater menu and I have to say that everything was amazing. The meat and rice cooked to perfection.Naan bread very savory and also the GTR beer( Grand Trunk road beer) was nice .Perfect actually with the entire meal. Dined here for lunch based upon the recommendation of our hotel's concierge. We were on a schedule, so arrived promtly when the restaurant opened at noon, and we were the only patrons in the restaurant. Somewhat unnerving. However, our fears were quickly put to rest once lunch was served. We both had the lunch special--an excellent deal of soup, choice... More

We had the pre-theatre menu at an incredibly reasonable £23 for three courses. I can see how if you chose options from the main menu it may be overpriced (Up to £26 for a curry), but at £23 the food was really high quality. It is definitely the best tasting Indian food I have ever had, and doesn't leave you... More

We chose this place for New Year's eve because it offered slightly different food to other Indian restaurants and we wanted a slightly less formal affair, considering we were going pre-theatre and only had 2 hours to eat. They did deliver on that front. We had finished eating after nearly an hour. The price tag of £79 for 5 courses... More

I have written about this before. Another great dinner last week, after trying most of the name places in London, the food here is the best. Great wine list, excellent friendly service. I know why this place is hard to get into. We will be back. It's just always so good.
