Having taken a friends recommendation decided to try for dinner. A big restaurant however the layout makes it feel more intimate, we had an early table 7pm but still quite busy, service was on the ball and food good. Portions not massive but of good quality the Bresaola starter very good. We all had different fish main courses and all... More

This was our second time in a year and last time was 5/5. It was the same time of the week being early on a Sunday night. The food quality is really excellent and the Chocolate fondant not to be missed. The wine list was excellent and last time we had a really good sommelier. This time there didn't seem... More

The restaurant occupies a large, modern space yet is surprisingly intimate. Tables are well spaced, furniture is a mix of banquettes and comfortable dining chairs. The restaurant has a number of "zones"...outside (Summer only), front of house, back and what I would term behind the bar. The bar occupies a space at the rear of the building, and offers a... More

Had the beetroot salad for appetizer, the John Dory for main course, the chocolat fondant for dessert, and the pinot nero for wine. Entirely underwhelmed by all of it, taste, plating, originality. Service is OK but not attentive. The price tag is entirely undeserved.

Excellent service, good food.. the lintel soup was great and the pasta dishes were good as well. Try the grilled salmon it is very good. A bit pricy, that is what it kept this review from being a 5 star. Will visit again 👍

Clearly this is a place where you go on special occasions when money matters less. The primi are good without being sensational and so are the main courses. The wines we had were superb and the service is very friendly and courteous. Probably all come from Italy. If you like an upmarket Italian diner in Knightsbridge, then it is a... More

When you walk in this place feels quite glossy and 'international' as though it could belong to a hotel. The food, though, turned out to be better than that. I had a great crab and avocado salad followed by John Dory with chorizo and roast potato which worked brilliantly. Some of our table are excellent fresh pasta and desserts. Table... More

My wife and I were taken here by my nephew and his wife to celebrate a special birthday. I love Italian food. In looking at the menu, we opted for four courses and asked to share the pasta course. I had the avocado and crab to start. Never, ever, tasted crab like this. It was exquisite. We then had four... More

We have been neighbours for years as we live in Knightsbridge and had been eating at Zafferano many times in the past. We stopped as we found it too noisy and in addition to that one day I was very disappointed by my expensive dish. This time we got a nice table and we were enjoying our dinner until a... More

My wife and i were traveling with our extended family of 15 and at short notice booked a table for 17 at Zafferano, We had enjoyed dinner on previous occasions there and expected similar food and service. We were not disappointed. A semi-private area was allocated and not one of the diners could find fault with the entire experience. During... More

Zafferano has become one of the most consistently lauded Italian restaurants in London since bursting onto the Belgravia dining scene in 1995. Serving a menu of authentic, wholesome Italian recipes, there is also an elegant bar serving flavoursome cocktails and a separate menu of regional Italian favourites. The restaurant boasts classic, chic decor, and a consistently warm Mediterranean ambience which draws diners back time and time again.

Staying in Belgravia

Neighborhood Profile
Home to the vast majority of embassies and diplomatic residences in London, sophisticated and upscale Belgravia also boasts a wealth of luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and some of the city’s most stroll worthy lanes. While the prices here are high, taking a leisurely stroll through the streets of picturesque and elegant white stucco houses is free. Hyde Park and the Buckingham Palace Gardens are only a stone's throw away to the north, and some of Europe’s best shopping is nearby as well.
