We chose the Escoffier Menu after visiting the Savoy theatre. Lots of space between tables, very attentive staff without being pushy or a nuisance. Excellent food, Great place for people watching, and great to see people dressed for dinner (except for a group of Chinese who wandered in in trainers and polo shirts, and 1 wearing a baseball cap!). People... More

Was looking forward to this meal, our family was getting all together for the first time in four years. Sadly, our visit ended in disaster. We were celebrating our mothers 85th birthday, had to wait for our table, and ended up sitting quite close to the other diners once we were seated. I was disappointed that many of our requests... We just love the food here, the Sunday Roast is exceptional as well as the service and fine wines, beware that the wine prices may be by the glass or bottle. Truly a great restaurant and the staff are exceptional in what they do.

There's a lot of places in London where you can get a good bit of steak... But this place has to be at the top spot for me. The steak was beautiful.. Teamed with cauliflower cheese, garlic mushrooms and fat chips. You really can't go wrong. The waiter was amazing.. Very friendly and helpful. The whole feel of the place... More

We visited on Sunday 3rd July, and used our wedding present of a 4 course Escoffier Menu Dinner with Champagne. It was a truly amazing experience. The staff excel in Customer Service and every dish was cooked to perfection, with a nice 20-25 mins between courses. It was a lovely relaxed atmosphere and can certainly recommend the South African Stellenbosch... More

Pre theatre meal Very average for a premium price not a scratch on Simpsons in the Strand. Pub food at expensive prices. Will not be returning.

Overall my experience at the Savoy Grill was extremely positive. The food was fantastic, with my steak cooked to perfection. The whisky cart was a real treat! Service was really what you would expect at a place like this. Really delightful staff with great manners. It was great being served. Ambience was also very nice, however, in my opinion, the... Treated my wife whilst we were in London for the day, If you get a chance you have to give it a try. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience from the opulence and grandeur of the entrance. To the friendly staff. Not to mention the lovely food. Best meal I've had in a long time.

We visited the Savoy Grill as part of gift given to me by some friends. From the moment we arrived at the hotel door, until we left after the meal. We were made to feel very special by every one. The waiters and staff were very polite and helpful. We had three courses, and all were outstanding. A definite recommendation... More

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
