A Saturday lunch in early March. Everything about this meal was memorable. The sharing anti-pasti were perfectly chosen and beautifully diplayed. My main course, taken from the lunch menu, was the classic dish melanzane a la parmigiana. This was a beautifully formed parcel of aubergine slices inside of which was the classic tomato and mozzarella filling. All unctuous and richly... More

Had a starter of pasta with nduja and burratta and tomato which was very decent and then followed with black cod with liquorice, which was absolutely delicious. Really liked the food. Service was good. Almost flawless. Wasn't paying so hence why I can't comment on value for money

This was our first visit to Sartoria, having eaten at Francesco Mazzei’s previous restaurant L’Anima. We were not particularly impressed with L’Anima. Nothing could be described as bad but it did seem very expensive and to be honest – pretty ordinary. Sartoria proved to be the opposite, in terms of quality at least. There was no “amuse bouche” flim-flam, so... More

Best and most enjoyable work dinner for 10 of the decade. We had the private dining room off the newly refurbished main restaurant which has sliding doors so is not at all clausto. We had chosen a a "menu" in advance and a 6pm start with US colleagues hit the spot as all freshly cooked. Soft buff mozz with heritage... More

We ate here for my wife's birthday with a largeish family group. The staff were charming and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We had a mix of anti pasti and primo followed by a selection of secondi. Highlights were the red mullet, liquorice cod, polenta with truffles and the amazing veal Milanese. No other Milanese will ever compare!... More

We arrived for dinner at 9:30pm and were greeted by the lovely hostess. She took our coats and we sat down. From the moment we sat down and got up to leave the staff treated us with excellent service. Waited on us hand and food. They were polite, courteous, informative and space aware. The food was impeccable. Everything about the... More

I met a friend here for a mid-week dinner. We were greeted at the door, and our reservation was confirmed. The staff offered to take our coats and hang them up. Our table was in a good location and the ambient noise levels were good to have an enjoyable conversation. There was a large variety of dishes available on the... More

From the perfect Parmiggiano served with just the right cocktail to the amaretto soaked Tiramisu Sartoria provided a few hours or heaven in London. The wine list holds some wonderful finds, the staff and discreet, professional and knowledgeable. The pasta was superb - the cavatelli in particular. The dining room floral arrangements added a touch of magic and the sound... More

Yes, Francesco Mazzei created a cool place, with a beautiful bar, but he didn't forget about the essence of a restaurant ...the food. The cavatelli of grano arso were simply sublime, and the Vitello Tonnato, was the real one, pink in the middle and with the right amount of sauce. Probably the company also helped as I was with one... More

Dear Andrea R, Thank you for taking the time to review us on Tripadvisor. We completely agree with you that food is probably the main essence of a restaurant and we are thrilled to know you enjoyed our dishes. The cavatelli of grano arso is one of my favourites on the menu. All our team works very hard to deliver... More

The only restaurant on Savile Row, Sartoria has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment by acclaimed designer David d'Almada. Boasting a heated terrace, destination bar, cicchetti counter, two private dining rooms and wine cellar, the exquisite and timeless design lends itself perfectly to its glamorous Mayfair location. The freshest seasonal ingredients are combined with Italian artisan imports to create beautifully presented and delicious Italian dishes, each given a contemporary tweak or twist by Chef Patron Francesco Mazzei , a master craftsman in his own right.

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
