As I walked from Waterloo to the restaurant I ran through the menu that I had looked at the previous evening trying to decide what to have? I remembered that they sometimes have Cote De Boeuf as a special and to my delight it was on offer. This place is nice without being pretentious. The starter of smoked haddock risotto was excellent... My builder brother in law took me to RSJ (geddit ?). Nice place. Service friendly if a bit surly at times. But the food was stunning. Salmon rillettes to start - v tasty. Sister in law had curry puffs. Tried one - awesome. Venison for main was excellent. Chips a bit pricey though. 11.5 chips for £3.50 ? Bit steep... More

Clearly we were unlucky with our visit to this restaurant - I felt sorry for my friend who had recommended and booked it. The food was decent enough but the service was unprofessional and lacking. We were kept waiting 25 mins to even order a drink, despite having told the waiter we were ready - and so it continued, with... More

My wife and I came for a meal here before the ABC concert at The South Bank. We chose it because a Loire Valley wine critic recommended it for both the quality of the food and wine. As soon as we entered and saw a favourite vineyard bottle of wine behind the bar counter (Domaine de la Noblaie) we knew... More

I visited this restaurant with my wife and a friend on a Wednesday night in October 2016. It is a short walk from Waterloo and South Bank. From the outside, there is lots of kerb appeal - the exterior is well maintained and looks extremely welcoming. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, too. We were shown upstairs to the... Excellent French cuisine (entrees, mains and desserts) in a busy but quite charming restaurant close to Waterloo and Southbank. The wine list is also comprehensive and well thought through. Service was good, with some Gallic flair - not a huge range of menu items but enough for the majority of tastes. The prices are very reasonable and the whole package... More

A little French dining in the Southbank area. Great food and an excellent dining experience. The staff is very attentive and they are accommodating to food alergies. We will be returning again in a few weeks and will definitely dine there again.

We went for lunch at a time when restaurant was not busy. Our food arrived quickly and desserts were really good.

A lovely place to go (as long as they don't force you to take a basement table). I've been many times over the years but it now seems to be better than ever. Clearly well established now - and they've got it off to a tee. The quality of the food, and the service, is great too. It's a serious... More

I use to love this place back in the 80's, and maybe I should have left it there with my memories. There was much huffing and puffing about increasing the booking from 3 to 4 people at the last minute, despite the restaurant being half empty within about 30 minutes of us arriving. I struggled to find anything on the... More
