I heard about RSJ through two colleagues who highly recommended it. I decided to have my birthday dinner with work here, and was not disappointed. This place is understated elegance. The service was fabulous, and the atmosphere was superb. The place was packed, but at no point did you realise there were others around you. The quality of the food... More

Visited for a pre theatre meal. Great food, good service. Lovely Resturant. Menu a little limited, but we had a good choice of options. Expensive, but reasonably priced for this type of food. Good wine list.

Thoroughly enjoyed dinner at RSJ. We were a party of 5 booked in at late notice. We are staying nearby and tried this restaurant on a whim. Every meal was excellent especially the dessert. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Will recommend to friends travelling to London.

We ate again at RSJ last night. Hadn't been here for a couple of years and was delighted to say it's as good as ever. Wonderful food, reasonably priced and a fascinating wine list concentrating almost entirely on the Loire, vineyard by vineyard.

Went there last Friday for the second visit as previously I had a really great meal there and thought it was a great little find with nice food and a great wine list. The others ordered the cote de boeuf one was cooked right the other over done but unfortunately my rabbit was raw. I asked the waiter about it... More

Really impressed. The dining room itself is intimate but light and airy. A mature crowd at pre theatre time so not so lively but I imagine it does have a good atmosphere when filled up. Service was prompt and friendly and the waitress helped with our wine selection. We chose from the a la carte but the prix fixe was... More

RSJ is a small restaurant close by the National Theatre on London’s Southbank. It seems unchanged over 35 years. It is on the first floor with white painted walls bare wooden floor, white tablecloths and plywood chairs. To start I had chicken liver and foie gras parfait with chutney and pea shoots served on a thick slab of bread, which... More

A restaurant close to the National Theatre and happy (and able) to make sure you get there on time. Food was very good, (fixed price menu for £17.95 2 courses available) and service very good and efficient.

This is a small, slightly cramped and uncomfortable restaurant with hard wooden canteen-style chairs. It looks like the sort of place where good cooking often atones for an indifferent ambience. But it isn't. We all had a plain, ungarnished dressed crab dish to start - nothing wrong with it, but nothing exciting either. Our four different mains - cote de... More
