I see a lot of very mediocre reviews for this place. I'm a big fan. Food is sometimes very good (roasted chicken) sometimes average (fish and chips) but drinks are refreshing, prices reasonable, and service friendly. The place may be the oldest (and at least...More

Good selection of beers on tap, as well as gins. Food was ok; not many vegetarian options. The chicken pie was decent. Relaxed atmosphere, with lots of locals after work - dirtying daytime can be a bit touristy given its reputation as one of the...More

The Prospect is a great place to hook up with friends for a pub meal. The place is cosy but not too tight and the noise level is just right so that you can speak to each other. The food was standard but good, we...More

Some of the furniture seems a bit dangerous. The flagstone floor, obviously, is hard as stone. If one of the stools were to break and you fell onto it then the compensation could be astronimical. If you lived that is. The really dodgy stool may...More

Everytime I visit I’m smitten by the atmosphere, location and the feel I could meet ghosts from the past, smugglers, ne’er do wells, artists and gentry. Their descendants haunt it now. It’s my local pub to which I’m very fondly attached

Great place to enjoy drinks and meal Thameside, I ordered chicken and mushroom pie which was fine and tasty. But really, grey peas, canned carrot and packet mash, not good.

Good London historic pub, lots of nooks and crannies in side and out, views of the Thames from some of the tables inside and areas outside. Good pub food, just a little wait for our meal,no problems for us though we booked a table and had...More

Did not partake of food here but sipping an ale or two on a hot day, on padded seating outside listening to the lazy lapping of the river is a magical experience. Beer superbly kept. The staff are friendly and NOT stiff and unapproachable which...More

Possibly....but it's not terribly spacious inside with many tables crammed in as possible. It's not really a place I'd take very young children.
