We had a lovely experience at the Prospect of Whitby. The place comes with a great history ,even Charles Dickens was there. We had Shephard's Pie and some beers. Must visit!

Disgusting food. Fish and chips Food served cold and clearly straight from the freezer. Dry peas. Pathetic portion sizes. Massively overpriced: £15 for the worst fish and chips I've ever seen. Rude waitress. Salad missing advertised Mozerella and served drowning in balsamic vinegar. Unbelievably disappointed.

This is a great old riverside pub in Wapping. There are a few pubs on the river that lay claim to being the oldest but even if this isn't, its pretty close. Complete with its own gallows and lots of history on the walls, this...More

Beer in good form on a very hot day. Prompt service and great views of the Thames make this pub very popular and rightly so!

This old pub was recommended by an acquaintance that lives in London. It may be old and historical but we did not find anything else about it the slightest bit enjoyable. We made a reservation in advance. When we arrived there was no one to...More

Fish and chips in the oldest pub of London is a good choice. The location is interesting and you have a nice view to the boats sailing along the river Thames. Service was friendly and quick.

As much as I love this wonderful old (c1520’s old!) pub I cannot bring myself to give it 5/5 but also couldn’t bring myself to go as low as 3/5 so 4/5 it is! As a group of 5 friends, we had been planning on...More

I brought a friend here on a quiet Tuesday for a drink and lunch. My gin and tonic was badly presented without appropriate garnishes, with too much ice, and was not served in the style of glass normally used. It cost as much as those...More

The pub is fantastic if you like friends, good food, beers, small scale soldiers (in the order you prefere) and wargaming. Enjoy the atmosphere and the fantastic river view. A perfect pub for pirate scum!

Possibly....but it's not terribly spacious inside with many tables crammed in as possible. It's not really a place I'd take very young children.
