We visited there to celebrate my birthday. The food was excellent. We had the prosciutto and mozarella as starters, and then pasta with clums and a pizza for mains. My only complaint really was that the staff were very rude. Very Italian mentality. Did not appreciate that. Hence my 4 star and not 5

Great Italian food on a cute street in the Notting Hill area. Had great service - got free lemoncello and biscotti at the end of my meal.. probably because I was dining alone on a Saturday evening, but it totally made my night!

We arrived late in London and took a cab literally across central London to have our favorite pizza and a glass of wine. Online it says they serve dinner until 11:30 PM on Thursdays. We arrived 10:55 PM and waited for a couple of minutes by the door. Completely overlooked, we had to approach one out of five staff members... More

Great italian, really cosy spread over 2 floors. Staff are fantastic, food is great Dimmed lights in the restaraunt makes the atmosphere great and although busy don't feel overlooked or overheard

Despite the cosy atmosphere and dimmed lighting, the culinary experience here is dire! The antipasti and pasta dishes we tried (caprese salad, mezze maniche con melanzane, tagliolini con gamberetti) had totally interchangeable sauces. Overly salty and greasy, they left a horrible aftertaste. The service is average, the radio is on. A bore. The first and last time I come here.

Went here last night for my Fiance's birthday. It's not a huge place but is over two floors. The upstairs being the ground floor. I'd suggest not having a table by the door as we did. The service is great, friendly and they don't rush you at all. The food is incredible. Seriously amazing. All home made there, their own... More

I came here with my family recently and we all loved the food! The waiters were very nice and quite fast. The food was the highlight of the evening for everyone including my mother who had the fish that she was talking about days on end and I found my pizza very good as well. The atmosphere is nice in... One of my best friends and I have been treating ourselves to dinner at Osteria for nearly 10 years. It's always busy, you have to book a table. The food is always delicious - time and again we choose the grilled squid with chilly and rocket...it's stunning. Our starters vary from the antipasto to carpaccio or burrata. We usually drive... I took my wife, daughter and her boyfriend to dinner last night. We chose an excellent bottle of Merlot and chose a variety of dishes - grilled chicken, veal Milanese and grilled seabass. We all found the food tasty but had a real problem with the waiters. Part of the problem is that the restaurant is so popular is that... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
