A Valentine's dinner for two. Cod was over cooked and lamb was supposed to be pink, but grey and dry. Waiter was good, but management rude and effectively couldn't care less. Clearly they don't need to try any more.

We haven’t visited for years but were pleased to see it heaving for a Monday night. Try to get a table in view of the busy kitchen. Alternatively you can sit at the long counter which perhaps is busier early evening and lunchtime. I love...More

Went for lunch with an old friend. We had a great time with excellent food. The restaurant was busy and noisy with too many tables crowded together which rather took an edge of things. The service was good and not overly attentive. The wine was...More

An early Christmas week dinner for 4. It was Ok but somehow the food prep and presentation seemed to lack the care of old. Nothing felt special. Including the service which inevitably seemed rushed and hurried. Blame it on Christmas? Hopefully

This is one of the great restaurants of London if you like real tasty food and not “pictures on plates”. The food is reliably very good, the service helpful but unfussy, the house wine quite good enough to not require you to trade up. Lively...More

I took my wife to Moro for her birthday dinner. We had an early pre-theatre reservation. When we arrived the waiter insisted on sticking us by the front door (and when I say by we were literally sandwiched between the velvet drapes and a structural...More

Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site
of an ancient meat market which remains in operation
today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally
renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and
some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a
focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough
time wondering through the area's maze of streets and

Description
It might be one of the hippest venues in one of the hippest parts of the capital but this Clerkenwell restaurant still manages to be relaxed and more concerned with good food than being trendy. The restaurant’s décor with its polished wooden floors, long zinc bar and open view to the kitchen and its charcoal grill and wood-burning oven is functional but welcoming. The Moorish cuisine complete with subtle European influence is every bit as striking as it was when the restaurant opened its doors nearly ten years ago. Tapas served all day at the bar. Reservations taken by phone and directly from our website.PLEASE NOTE - Moro restaurant is now open seven days a week. Please refer to our website for correct opening hours
