Mildreds, established in 1988, serves internationally inspired vegetarian food, all of which is made daily on the premises. Catering for vegetarians, yet popular with omnivores, Mildreds offers friendly informal service in a lively atmosphere coupled with excellent value for money. We use organic ingredients where possible and endeavor to source small businesses for our supplies. Our beautiful wood paneled dining room is available for party bookings Monday to Saturday, with a maximum capacity for 14 people. We do not take bookings in the restaurant but you may enjoy a drink or cocktail at the bar whilst waiting for your table. If you want to avoid waiting please come after 9.30.

I'm a meat eater and went here with my vegetarian friend. It is an extremely popular venue so I think coming at an odd time would be better as you can get a table.
It's not a problem though, as the drinks at the bar...More
On our trip to London we visited here twice, once for an evening meal and again for lunch. Both visits were excellent and I would recommend anyone vegan or vegetarian to visit here. Although you can’t reserve a table here at their Soho restaurant there...More
I went on a Friday lunch time on my own for a quick bit in London. Was great to find somewhere that I knew I had a selection on the menu to choose from. I am intolerant to gluten and dairy so i went for...More
I tried several dishes and the food was fantastic. I looked at some other recent reviews who complained about service. The service staff are a bit sultry (sorry guys) but hey its a super busy place and everybody wants attention. Still rate top marks. If...More
The place is small and it is very cramped inside - every time I needed to get out of my table I had to ask the neighbour tables to make some room. The staff is in desperate need of training. The food, however, was excellent.
From arrival the service was very poor. The two people who served the table were sulky and disinterested, one almost rude. Out of three meals, one was very good (curry) one was OK (burger) and one was less than average (mushroom pie). I've been to...More
Went for a business lunch. Great fig manhattsns, delicious savory wild mushroom and ale pie, excellent buffalo cooked “chicken” sandwiches, a good curry, a decent rose. Sadly we also had a waiter from hell who ignores tables, chats with apparently off-duty waitstaff, then after repeatedly...More
I had the bangers and mash and it was so tasty! I am so happy to find a vegetarian version of bangers and mash! Definitely come early if you don’t want to wait. Quite small seating areas so may need to wait for a while
It’s rare that I complain about a restaurant but this place is the most pretentious place I’ve been to in years. I think because it’s one of a few vegan friendly places in the area that the staff act as though customers should be grateful...More
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the
most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.

As far as I'm aware, there is no specific "afternoon tea". There is instead a great menu that's available all day that will include vegetarian non mushroom options. These take the form of starters and mains, depending on your appetite. For more snack type foods, what about Tibits, a vegetarian restaurant off Regent Street?
