Saturday lunch with my husband in this place. We decided to try it - never been before. Nice pergola and outdoor area that invites you to seat. Well, probably is the only good thing they have. Tables and chairs are so close that my husband...More

On a rainy morning my wife and I walked by chance into Duke of York Square, off the King's Road and we found this marvellous cafe'/restaurant. The name is a bit peculiar, meaning The Madhouse, but there was nothing mad about it! There are table...More

Served a dirty glass. The waiter looked confused but eventually agreed and changed. Order the panini and lasagna, both terrible. Food was poorly prepared, made with low-end ingredients, presented badly, and was ultimately overpriced. Asked for the service charge to be removed....if you cant serve...More

We celebrated our wedding with a family meal of 15 people in the private conservatory room at Manicomio. All staff were very welcoming and helpful when we were organising the evening and accommodated all of our requests. We had a drinks reception in the outdoor...More

We had a great table outside, the menu was original and the food largely excellent but the speed of service was very slow and we had to frequently chase. The staff were very friendly and apologetic it just seems that the kitchen is either too...More

A lovely terrace with big parasols against the heat. Delicious food if a a little inconsistant from visit to visit. Some of the portions on the small side but beautifully presented with charming service. Definitely a favourite for me especially in this weather. A place...More

Great location but ridiculous small portions for what they charge. Ordered Smoked salmon with creme fraiche and dill on toasted sourdough and when I politely called over the manager to show her the very small amount of smoke salmon on the plate, I got told...More

Lovely restaurant in the square, which is anyway a vibrant and busy place, particularly on a summers day. Good service, good food, reasonably priced.

We had lunch at Manicomio on a beautiful sunny day sitting outside and watching the people pass by. Even if they have served us junk we probably would have been happy - and they the didn't. Actually we ate quite well. I had the lunch...More

Portions are terribly small. 2 of us ordered mains of pasta, which came in a dish the size of a bread plate? We left hungry and are not big eaters anyhow! This place only trades on the location. Don't waste your money

Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's
upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops,
eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at
its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely
unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this
showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price
tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down
pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal
