This is the second time I have been here for the 8 course surprise menu and each time it was superb. As it was my second time the fabulous chef/ owner made completely different dishes for the surprise menu. The decor is quirky as if...More

Had passed this establishment for over 20yrs and always thought it would be a unique experience which it proved to be. Not cheap but not a 'run of the mill' experience. Well worth a try.

My first visit to this restaurant so I was completely open minded as to what to expect. It is in a neighbourhood I was not families with but well well worth the trip! The menu is perfectly balanced with not too many dishes, always a...More

If you have grown weary of paying £25 a head for food and having a fair experience which is utterly unmemorable after 6 months then why not forego two of those and eat here instead. You will not forget eating here because (i) the food...More

Had the 8 course menu and was a little concerned after the last review as the first course was the bisque. It was amazing... and set up what was an excellent meal. Great fun, quirky and definitely returning!

My wife and I recently visited The Lobster Pot for our wedding anniversary dinner and had the 8 course surprise menu. The interior is decked out as a boat, with fish tanks built into the wall, and there is even the sound of seagulls so...More

My partner and myself had the 8 course surprise menu and it was absolutely delicious. We have been to the restaurant on numerous occasions and we have never been disappointed. The food is great and the house white is tasty and reasonably priced. A great...More

We popped in for a quick dinner and had a very nice time. Skate wing, well cooked. Minimal vegetables. Nice bread. A half bottle of passable Muscadet. Nothing to complain a bout, except the minimal veg! Nice, quirky staff. It is a bit stuck in...More

I came back here after 3 years away from the area, and had another delicious meal with the 8 course tasting menu. If you haven't been then it is well worth it. However, I was disappointed that the food we had was almost identical to...More

"A tiny place about which much has been written and all of it intriguing - ranging from alarmed descriptions of the kitsch nautical decor, surreal recordings of seagulls and ocean waves to the highest praise for the genuinely French cooking. Fish and seafood are the thing, with a few offerings for unrepentant carnivores. The bouillabaisse is reckoned a triumph by those who know, as is the plateau de fruits de mer. Lots of couples, a few government types as it's within the Division Bell. Le patron mange ici. Go and cast yourself adrift in oceans of seafood. What's cooking? For starters we particularly enjoyed the fresh mussels with garlic, tomato and cream sauce and the grilled prawns with homemade garlic butter followed by the grilled fillet of tuna and the seabass with a cream, pernod and wild mushroom sauce. For dessert the pancakes are a must - believe me!! And now an 8 course Surprise Menu with a lobster course !
