Took a client here and was quite disappointed. will not return or recommend Good points: - Nice seating arrangements - Friendly staff - The dessert is the best part - free bread Bad Points: - Had the cod and it was too salty! on top of that it was served with anchovies making it more saltier - Had the squid... Pleasantly surprised by our meal on Friday with friends over from Paris. The service was top notch, our waiter had a very friendly manner, was attentive and made us feel very welcome. The food was also good, I'd recommend the John Dori and the Lamb. The only down side are the acoustics at the back of the restaurant are poor... More

We came here for a birthday lunch and really enjoyed it. The food we ordered was very good but a couple things did let it down a bit. The lamb was a bit too under cooked so was quite hard to cut through and the cheesecake wasn't the best. However the hake was amazing and the panacotta was the best... More

I was taken here to celebrate my birthday on a Saturday night. I enjoyed my food, but found it a bit rich. My daughter was very disappointed with her starter of scallops wrapped in pancetta, saying they were dry and lacked seasoning. It is obviously a very popular restaurant but we found it very cramped and as a result very... More

This a lovely dining experience which is rare to find in the 'burbs. A bit of a local treasure. Lighting just right, buzzy but not noisy. Food a bit patchy, though, sadly. Portions a bit too large, ideas were good, but execution lacked a bit of refinement. But spent a lovely evening there catching up with a good friend, and... More

15 of us dined here for a family celebration. The staff all seem to have a permanent and genuine smile on their faces and the food was great. I chose asparagus with hollandaise and a poached egg followed by cod with Jersey Royals and for dessert honeycomb ice cream. The place was buzzing on a Saturday evening and we all... More

Would normally be a five star ratin, as arguably this is normally a great venue, as we have frequented Light House on a number of occasions. However, it was quite poor last night. From the very slow waitress, who clearly struggled on a busy night, as well as her abruptness and inability to listen. The worse, was finding a metal... More

As a restaurant owner myself, this would be one of the very few restaurants I have been to in the past years I would really recommend. Excellent food, very professional service.

First visit on Mothers Day with my family. Lovely set menu, service was very good. Lovely interior. Food was very nice. Only one criticism: side plates for bread/olive oil not provided. We plan to return

5 of us dining on a Thursday evening, had a pleasant evening with great food, somewhat let down by pompous service. Starters including crab risotto, liver pate and salt duck were generally well received if not outstanding. Main course of fillet steak was near perfect, cooked as ordered, jus with great depth and decent potatoes, could have done with a... More

The Light House opened in 1999 to great critical acclaim and has gone from strength to strength ever since. Now well established as a friendly, neighbourhood restaurant with a modern, international menu and an inspiring selection of wines. The friendly, professional service contributes to its well deserved reputation as one on of the best places to eat in South West London. We now have air-conditioned dining too!
