Having visited the Hospital nearby with my brother and now my wife, this restaurant is a addition that makes the day worthwhile and special. The menu is great the food divine and the staff are a joy, attentive personable and very professional. I have only been about four times but its always worth giving thanks to a place that makes... Fantastic food, cozy restaurant, no tourists, great staff! They can handle a large group of people and assist you in arranging a set menu. Highly recommended.

Some French restaurants - certainly in London - take themselves far too seriously and in delivering what they see as the authentic French dining experience, they can tend towards the snooty, if not intimidating and downright pompous. La Colombier is the real deal as far as French cooking and service go, but it is definitely diner-friendly. It has wisely, and... More

Great food, outstanding service, wonderful ambiance - what a delight. This restaurant never fails to delight and although it is on the pricey side it is well worth it.

This was I think my third meal here, at this elegant place just off the Fulham Road, and I could not help noticing many returning customers on the Wednesday evening in late August when I ate there-- a very positive indicator of quality. I would estimate that they had over 50% covers that evening, with the beautiful terrace just about... More

Warm and attentive reception, good service, very French and a nice relaxed but efficient atmosphere. We each had the very good Scottish grouse! Well, it is August and it was just a week into the season. Grouse was good, nicely cooked and came with a delicious cabbage side. Being Chelsea, this is not a cheap restaurant and, compared to the... Very enjoyable lunch with family. Not the first time we have been there and will undoubtedly go again. Service excellent. Not pushy. Very relaxed.

Took my wife here for our anniversary having walked past many times and thought it looked nice. Firstly the clientele are nearly all over 60, which is fine, but doesn't create much buzz. The food was generally good but nothing amazing and not worth the prices charged. The one thing I couldn't get over though was the sardines. My wife... More

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
