Lunch for 23 people for my company, clients and supply chain. Fixed menu due to numbers as expected and food first class. Faultless service from Francisco and his team made for a very successful event. Every single attendee responded positively with e-mail feedback. This classic French gem in the heart of Old Chelsea is under threat. Over 1,500 people have... More

I have gone to this restaurant more times in my life than any other. And why is that ? Because it changes very little, is always welcoming, has pleasant if unspectacular food, a superb wine list containing many wines priced so reasonably that it almost seems like a historical wine tour, and is therefore a totally satisfying and reliable experience... My wife and I had dinner with some friends at this restaurant recently and had very high expectations sfter rave reviews. The food was good with plenty of choice and the service of a good standard. The only disappointment was that it didn't offer good value for money which is a shame.

I have been a visitor to this restaurant and its now-closed sibling, Garnier, for quite some time and, most recently, held a dinner for my birthday in their wonderful private room on the first floor. The team at Le Colombier, led by Olivier, aided in the selection of a menu and were most helpful in accommodating two guests who had... More

After many years I revisited Le Colombier over the Christmas holiday and realised why I hadn't been back before. Thin Soup de poison followed by a thinner tuna steak and accompanied by thin wine. No good points to mention with even the French Fries below par. Not even reasonably priced. I'll give it another ten years before I return.

I have been to le Colombier for many years and it has never failed me once. The service is efficient, and kind One of the few places where they know how to cook offals like kidney or sweetbread. The wine list is impressive especially for Bordeaux. I will always go back with pleasure.

A regulars know , this is a first class brasserie with a superb wine list. However our main course set lunch 'panache of 3 fish' was so bad, dull, tasteless, and overcooked i will have to downgrade to 3 stars. I will return , as this may be a one off disaster, hopefully.

Having been to Le Colombier ever since it opened I make a point of returning each time I visit London. I can only highly recommend Le Colombier for its' amazing consistency, great menu, fantastic wine list, excellent and efficient serving staff. The food is always delicious and cooked to perfection from fresh produce. Didier Garnier is the most amiable restaurant... More

This restaurant deserves top accolade. The welcome by the staff was the beginning of an exemplary lunch time treat. Smoked salmon at its best without being too salty which is often the case. The quality of the beef delightfully served on a bed of small french beans strapped with a string of onion, followed by a tarte tatin with a... More

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
