Went here with a colleague From start to finish we were rushed along so that they could clear the table to get another sitting in. Doesnt make for a relaxing meal Service was poor as we had to keep asking for things Food was ok but nothing special and was very expensive for what it was I do think this... More

Hard to believe how much Le caprice has deteriorated. The staff look old and tired and so does the food.

Visited last night for a birthday meal. All I can say is 'excellent'. The food was lovely. Extensive menu and excellent service. Would definitely recommend. If you want nice atmosphere and good food, you can't go wrong!

There is something very warm and comforting about Caprice. This has to be the 10th time I have been here, please excuse my lack of former reviews, but I always know what to expect and also get what I expect, good food and a great atmosphere. I was here for lunch with my business partner after no luck getting a... More

Came here for lunch with a client and was not disappointed. Started with an excellent octopus & chorizo salad, followed by a delicious miso salmon steak for the main. All very well done and at a reasonable price for two. Helped, no doubt, by the fact that we were not on the vino! Only mild grumble: Waiters were slightly skimpy... More

This restaurant has been around for many years with a mystic of sophistication as one of london's best. I found it rather ordinary. A table for 3 was too small, the mushroom risotto was tasty but came unadored. My friend's jumbo prawns were better presented... It is also loud at lunch and you cannot hear your guests at the same... More

Came for lunch with 5 friends - although the food was good I thought it was expensive and not outstanding. The service was standard for a generic restaurant but poor for the place and didn't even get sideplates for the bread? Although the other guests said the meat and fish dishes were good, there was only 1 vegetarian option of... More

This was our first visit to Le Caprice having heard of its reputation for years. From when you step into the classy restaurant until you leave, you feel you are in safe hands. The staff ooze confidence and seem to possess a sixth sense of when you need something. The food is cooked to perfection and dining off the set... More

Booked Le Caprice off the back of a recommendation from a colleague. Didn't disappoint - very good, friendly service from arrival. Service was quick without being rushed and the food was delicious. Definitely recommend and will return.

This French resto offers beautiful food and a wide variety for everyone. We were there with 8 people and each person ordered something different. Everyone was thrilled with their choices. The Indian spiced lamb is a standout as is the Steak Tartare! Extensive wine list and drinks menu and impeccable service. Quite pricey...but it's London!

Thank Monika L

Staying in St. James's

Neighborhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
