Came without a reservation and so had to eat at the bar. The decor and ambience here was great, the lunch time fixed price menu was good value for money and food simple but generally tasty. Fish was perfectly cooked. Wine list interesting and service efficient. Had a major British celebrity at the bar as well which added kudos to... More

Overrated, over priced, served an ingredient rather than a meal, salmon swimming in butter and some sea greens....is that it....sat outside in the cold.... snobby service..... won't be coming back.....okay for regular favourites......

Had dinner a J Sheekey's one evening before a play. Somehow our reservations were not in their system but the maitre d' was able to seat us anyway, probably as we were dining early before the play. The restaurant was crowded but the service excellent. The seafood dishes were perfectly cooked and tasty. Portions were sized well and with appetizers,... More

Went with friends last night. I have been going once or twice a year for about 15 years and it's one of my all time favourites. We were seated in the old part of the restaurant, which was perfect for a bunch of traditionalists. The food was very good, but the service was wonderful: helpful, precise, unobtrusive and good humoured.... More

Eaten here several times and it is always spot on. Very attentive staff in this elegant, large, buzzing restaurant. It feels intimate as there are little eating area's. The wine waiter had a serious lack of humour! Far too stuffy! The rest of the staff were lovely. The meal was absolutely delicious. Our table of six had different meals and... More

Ate here with my daughter, very buzzy place and great good humoured staff. We shared tuna sashimi and some dublin bay prawns with mayonnaise. The fish and seafood was so fresh, langoustines, plump and big enough to extract some meat from the claws. Tuna, thinly sliced with a wasabi just as you would want it to be. Followed with the... This is always the dinner we look forward to on each visit to London, so it is a pleasure to report that nothing has changed. This is still the place to go for fish. We always have oysters and Dover sole so can't comment on other dishes, but everything going to other tables certainly looked appetizing. Service was most professional... More

I went there as I want to try the seafood meal in London, although I live in London for 9 years back in 1986. As there has been a lot of changes these days, I try to compare the food quality in London vs, Thailand Vs HK Vs Tokyu. So I went to J Sheekey as it has higher ranking... More

My wife, our little daughter and I had a wonderful lunch at J Sheekey last Sunday. We have been positively impressed by the quality of the food as well as by the attentive Staff. I had Atlantic prawns, which were delicious, whilst my wife enjoyed razor clams that perhaps were even better than my prawns. As main, we both had... More
