Location and contact

In the heart of Covent Garden, J Sheekey is a fish and seafood restaurant offering the finest fish, oysters, shellfish and other fruits de mer. Discreetly tucked away on St Martin's Court between Charing Cross Road and St Martin's Lane, J Sheekey is a stone's throw from many of the West End's theatres, the cinemas of Leicester Square and vibrant quarters of Covent Garden and Soho. The Royal Opera House and Coliseum, Palace Theatre, Donmar Warehouse, Wyndham's, Duke of York and Noel Coward Theatres are close by, making the restaurant perfect for pre and post theatre dining. All fish is responsibly caught from sustainable sources.

Snagged a table before a show. No reservations. Tim, the manager, could not have been nicer. Excellent meal, attentive service. Three cheers!

Our favourite fish restaurant and we took friends who were quite impressed. Not wishing to spend an arm and a leg this time, we opted for the set menu lunch which is great value at £30 a head for three courses. It’s a shame that...More

A pre-Theatre visit was dealt with in plenty of time and we didn't feel rushed. The ambiance is as welcoming as I remember, lots of dark wood, close tables, buzzing atmosphere and far, far bigger inside than you expect. On a Thursday evening at 6pm...More

Massively enjoyed the ambience, service and food. It was a perfect romantic dinner, while being a fairly large restaurant gave the impression of being intimate. Service was the best I have witnessed, attentive without being overbearing. For example the wine wasn’t left on the table...More

Delicious meal. Everything was perfectly cooked. Asked for the scallops as a main course which I had with fresh homemade bread and butter. Superb!

Went back to J Sheekey recently for the first time in several years after my first visit many years ago. It has an ageless quality about the place, an unflustered atmosphere which is a welcome respite in the middle of the West End - and...More

I've eaten here several times and it's always exceptional. The food is stunning and I've tried almost every starter and main to date. The staff can not do enough to make the evening great. I highly recommend this place.

I went to J Sheekey with a friend to celebrate our respective birthdays. You have to book well in advance particularly as I prefer the restaurant to the Atlantic Bar. I had the Dover sole with broccoli and courgettes, which was delicious. We finished with...More

This is a great restaurant. I went there twenty years ago and was impressed by its food, and I felt the same on a recent visit. The seafood-centric menu was solid and reasonably priced, and the service was professional.

We went to this restaurant after the theatre, as we were with our young children we went 45 mins before our reservation. We explained this when we arrived and promptly they have arranged a table outside so we could start until our table would be...More
