We had been told that J Sheekey was "the place" for seafood in London, especially pre-theater, and we were not disappointed in any way. We began with champagne and caviar (they have excellent choices and sizes...we chose to "split" a 50 gm portion of Oesetra and were rewarded with a wonderful offering! My wife dined on the best Dover sole... More

We have lived within a 2 minute walk of Sheekeys for over 25 years and had a disasterous meal all those years ago. Thought we might go back a few weeks ago; big mistake! The service was very sketchy, our booking for a terrace table was no where to be found and the food very mediocre and very expensive. Such... More

Respite from a hot day under the shaded terrace. Calm efficient service and no drama even though we hadn't booked. Good range of seafood. Octopus with borlotti beans was simple but delicious. A good choice of wines to compliment, by the bottle or glass. Excellent value for such well prepared and served food. I heartily recommend it.

Sheekey’s has a chameleon-like quality that can change with one’s mood – it can be lively, exciting and buzzing or tranquil, romantic and very relaxing. It’s never dull or disappointing. It’s a great fish restaurant, one of London’s best. The food is delicious – well-prepared, well-cooked and beautifully presented. It can be interesting and unusual too. The service simply is…it’s... J Sheekey typically gets top reviews and deserves the rating because the food ingredients are of high quality, well prepared, and the service runs like a well oiled machine. Fish is the main focus and the Dover sole is a prime attraction and while it's quite expensive, it's worth it for Americans like us that don't get real Dover sole where... More

Booked J. Sheekey restaurant just off St. Martins Lane for post Coliseum Ballet performance, for dinner. Arrived prior to actual restaurant opening at 5.30 pm and offered drinks on the Terrace (tables on street) till opening but declined and instead took a table in the Atlantic Bar and decided to eat here instead of the restaurant as companion was famished,... Came tback to this restaurant to celebrate our 15 wedding anniversary. On arrival our table was not ready, but this was not a problem and we just hung out at the bar for a fw minutes (although that area was very busy and it was a squeeze to get in). We were then seated at our table and I was... More

It's been a few months since my last trip to London [Feb] and of course I always eat here. Since my last visit I refrained from having the fish pie and selected the prawn and scallop burger and I am so glad I did, it was delicious. As usual I had the razor clams to start as I can never... More

We have eaten here a few times over the past couple of years and it is consistently very good. We ordered razor clams with chorizo & broad beans. Delish combination perfectly executed. Great presentation in razor shells. We both ordered the John Dory special with creamed corn and crab tortellini as a main course. Wow! Amazing flavour combination between the... More
