"As Good as the last Time"

Another great meal at the weekend, have been here several times in the oyster bar. The selection of starters are both varied, tasty and different. Never had a bad meal here, it's always been enjoyable and Saturday night was no exception. Price of the meal is great value for money and one of... read more

For me, in that neck of the woods and discreetly hidden away in tiny St. Martin’s Court just off Charing Cross Road, nothing beats J. Sheekey, easily one of London’s most outstanding fish restaurants. The reason I keep coming back, however, is the wonderful food and the impeccable service. This is another of Richard Caring’s many restaurants. Unlike the super... More

Off to Sheekeys for a birthday lunch. Started with excellent vodka martinis in the bar. Then moved through to the restaurant for dressed crab, grilled halibut and steamed treacle pudding and custard. Everything was delicious and the service was attentive and friendly. This is one of my absolute favourite restaurants - always superb.

Sat in the counter seat. All the native waiters were attentive. But one non-native waiter didn't behave professionally, he made comments about the guests in a low voice several times during my eating, issued the bill before my asking for it, THIS IS REALLY RUDE!!

We have in the past eaten in the restaurant, and more recently we have twice had pre-theatre suppers in the Oyster Bar. The service, ambience and food in the Oyster are quite excellent, and it is currently one of our favourite places to eat in London. We are going again in early March with family for a pre-theatre supper and... More

Seeing that the restaurant had changed ownership since our last visit some years ago, when our entire party suffered from food poisoning after sharing fruits de mer,we decided to give it another go. I have to say that the food was excellent, and no food poisoning this time! Starters were excellent and the King Crab huge. My pan fried tuna... More

Went up to the West End last Saturday to catch a film and had lots of time to spare so popped into J Sheekey just off Leicester Square for a late lunch. We had never been before and thought it worth a try and sure enough it was a little beacon of delight in an area overrun with takeaways and... More

Wide variety of seafood. A "fish house / oyster bar" in US vernacular. Nice environment, good bar. Scallops starter and fish pie both very good. Nice wine selection and service.
