I went here with my staff just before Christmas, i had enjoyed a few beers but was in no way drink (never in front of the staff). A nasty bouncer by the name of Nofel Jolash refused me entry. I explained that this is very...More

A bit of history in soho...check out Charles de Gaulle message above the bar...along from the "no mobiles" sign. Yes it's pricy, £2.50 for half of their lager and they only do halves. However it's my favourite soho pub. Usually rammed so get there off...More

I've always had the best of service and amazing food. I go to England @ twice a year and they actually remember me here. But I have seen, in the case of a rude or pushy customer, those put on to the back of the...More

My friends and I went to this pub last night, in general the staff were ok but the older blonde lady who I can only assume was the manager was extremely rude to us. Her manners were appalling, and she would shove you out of...More

Nice little pub with an interesting history (see p. 43 "London's Best Pubs"). Because it was initially a wine and whisky bar it doesn't serve beer in pints but you can order two half pints at the same time. Good charcuterie plate for lunch though...More

I've been visiting this Soho institution since the late 80s. I usually make at least one visit whenever I'm in London. Very little has changed in all the time I've been a visitor. The walls are covered with pictures, photographs and other memorabilia from across...More

This is a fascinating establishment. It is impossible not to think back to its days of being the watering hole of artists and actors. It is a tourist attraction but at the same time it retains a realness.. The French House is more English than most places.Wonderfull.

I always enjoy visiting this bar, it has loads of interesting pictures and memorabilia from theatre days, mostly passed, on the walls. The fact they only serve halves only increases its quirkiness. It's a great place to people watch and there's always some interesting locals...More

Yes, it's a French-themed pub and restaurant in the home of the classic inn and as such only serves beer in 1/2 pints. But it's a London institution in the heart of Soho, London's decadent capital and is full of characters of every variety from...More
