The great thing about Tripadvisor and other review sites is when you visit an establishment unplanned and you come out and you have a negative view and think was it me , what do others think? , which brings me to Fish! at Borough Market. This will be a quick review, This is a tourist restaurant in the Borough Markets... More

I came here with my husband for a 40th birthday meal. Great staff and great ambience. Food was delicious with very generous portions. Would recommend 😀

Lovely restaurant just behind Borough market and close to Southwark Cathedral. I had the calamari as starter and cod and chips with mushy peas as the main course. I usually one of the fish choices steamed and you have the choice of different sauces. The team are great at recommending. I never tire watching the chefs cook and the service... More

My experience was two undercooked nasty sausages with a small portion of crispy, greasy chips. No applogies just strange blank looks from a staff that didnt lool like they had any ifra what they're doing.

Enjoyed an excellent meal. Seafood salad was brilliant, lovely greens and great variety. Tuna nicoise main was super as well. Everything was fresh, nice presentation, lovely combination of flavours.

Not so far from London Bridge, Borough Market offers several food options even after-hours (when the market is closed). FISH! is one of them. I was not particularly intrigued by the food selection but overall it wasn't so bad the quality. Probably too pricey, but the location is what makes the price (I guess).

Hubby and I wanted a snack to keep us going and on Christmas Eve most of the food stalls at Borough Market were already closed by 3 p.m. but luckily we found Fish! The service was friendly and quick, and we both got huge boxes of chips for 1.75 pounds each with access to salt, ketchup and vinegar. They were... More

We have made it a point to go to fish the last two times we have been in England. The first time we went to the take out window and the restaurant, both were excellent but the experience of doing it the English way, eating on the run was the most fun. This December we stopped by for lunch again... More

A group of us use Fish for a yearly meetup and it's never disappointed. Even with 10-12 people eating together the service is good and the food hot and tasty. During Christmas time they have a set menu which makes choosing a lot easier for a group and booking early means we all get a glass of bubbly thrown in!... More

Sunday evening 6.30pm. Having been recommended this restaurant we had high expectations, none of which were met. The restaurant was at best 10% full; there appeared to be more kitchen/waiting staff than customers, so you would think we would have been well attended. Our waitress was either on her first day or last day and there was no restaurant manager... More

Fish! Restaurant in the heart of Borough market, does what it says - providing the very best fish available in London to hungry customers. Established in 1999, restaurateur Tony Allan had a vision to transform the old 18th century Pea Shelling Warehouse into a fish restaurant. The airy interior encompasses the open kitchen where diners can watch the chefs at work. The restaurant opens out onto a large terrace, which is open all year and sits in the heart of Borough weekend market, with views of Southwark Cathedral.

Staying in Southwark

Neighborhood Profile
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
