Totally worth the hype and it really is a London must-do. The prices are exceptionally good apart from the salt beef bagel which as the main attraction is worth the extra. I agree with others that the customer service is a little poor but they...are extremely busy and the abrupt service helps to keep the queue moving. Also, it’s a quick takeaway place so it really doesn’t matter in the same way it would in a restaurant - Beigel Bake is just about the bagels. This place being cash only is annoying, but it is made clear and there is a cash point a few steps away.More

Superb food but bad customer service every time I go in. Some experiences: 1) Being corrected on things I’ve already said correctly, 2) being asked for my order and then ignored when I reply clearly immediately after that 3) being given the wrong change/wrong items...after placing my order. Hopefully they don’t rely on their reputation, taste and price too much in the future as it would be a shame for a place with so much potential not to continue to stand up to the test of time.More

Just moved to London and a friend took me along to this place. What a gem! The Salt beef bagel was unreal. They've just gained a customer for life, Delicious! Staff were nice and friendly too. And the price in unbelievably fair.

Stopped by for a lunch time bagel. Slightly disappointed with the small vegetarian selection. I had a cheese bagel which was okay, reasonably priced. Son had an egg bagel which he enjoyed and daughter had a tuna and sweetcorn bagel which she thought was very...nice. If you like bagels you can’t go wrong with this place. Would recommend!More

Been a few years since visited here. Nothing’s changed..still excellent . Be prepared to queue but it is popular and the service is quick. They are damned busy and aim to serve as quickly as possible. The value is excellent and service good. Don’t expect...to be able to have a chat when it is so busy, it’s not rude just very busy. Love the place and hopefully will not wait so long to go again. Thanks.More

As well as curries, the salt beef bagel is a famous treat at Brick Lane. There are two competing with each other and right next to each other. I go to both all the time but have not really posted about them. This tine I...went to Beigel Bake for a salt beef bagel and the lady was really nice to slice it for us. The salt beef bagel was consistently good as before with meaty beef in the middle balanced by the mustard. It is hard to say which one is better I always go to both every now and then.More

We didn’t see the Royals but still a nice place to get a good onsite home cooked bagel. We’ve been here many a time. Bagels are filled well, bagels are nice and fresh and chewy.

This was my first time visiting Bagel Bake and whilst the food was yummy the customer service was awful. I went in to order the Salt Beef Bagel and whilst I was there I saw the cheesecake & strudel so asked for those too but...the women had already gone to get the bagel. She then put it on the counter & asked for the money. I asked if I could have a slice of cheesecake & strudel then she went off to get them. She then asked for the money, I paid & went outside but realised I didn’t have the strudel. I didn’t go back inside as the atmosphere in there was very rushed & almost as if they didn’t want the customers to be there. We went on a Tuesday lunchtime & it wasn’t busy, maybe one person in front of me. The bagel was amazing although I probably wouldn’t get the cheesecake again.More

I have been going to this bakery for about twenty years as I used to work on Brick Lane. The traditional bagel with salt beef, mustard and pickle is to die for and I couldn't recommend it enough. If you're in the mood for something...sweet instead, try the croissant; it's very different from what you're used to: rich, thick and meaty but not too sweet.More
