I've been eating here for a while, I come with friends and family and I am always well looked after. Aaron always sorts me out. In particular Marius always takes good care of me, he takes customer service to a whole different level.. He goes...above and beyond. I arrived late one evening and he even asked the kitchen to stay open just to cook my meal. You can't buy customer service that goodMore

We had a great party here last night. The venue was perfect for about 75 people with small plates and a disco, downstairs with a sunken bar. The staff were excellent helpful and efficient. The food was great for our occasion.

We popped in for a quick weekend brunch. The restaurant (which is usually very crowded) was rather empty. Service was quick, friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and very „adventurous“. The food is not cheap but of good quality. As we live in the...area, we will definitely come again.More

Nice restaurant, quick and good service. Not so over priced. The menu is very American, burgers, sandwiches, wings etc, but you can find some typical English dishes like fish and chips or a curry. Nice spot!More

Very nice atmosphere to get some drinks and dinner. The meat tender and cooked as wished, and side dishes to select from a variety. Just a bit plain (no salt), but salt and pepper available on the table.More

Food pretty good and service friendly. Things to be aware of: the restaurant area was busy and just about warm enough to be comfortable but the evening wore on and people left, it got really very cold and became too cold to be comfortable. It...felt like the heating had been turned off which meant our food cooled quickly on our plates. Additionally - beers were a bit odd. No tap, only bottles. Choice was limited to their own brand with very odd tastes - the blonde had a massively strong honey taste. The IPA was like a stout. A good evening but nothing outstanding.More

We came here with our two children (aged 6 and 9). The food was OK, quite nice. However, my boys came back from the toilets bewildered by the pornography on display in the gents. It was vile: wallpaper depicting sexual intercourse (very clearly) and men...in an aroused state, plus photographic full nude imagery. The whole toilet environment was sexualised, which was deeply inappropriate for a supposedly child friendly restaurant. I registered my concern and was given a discount, but the manager was unapologetic about the artwork saying "We should have told you to use the disabled loo if you have children" (!!) and "It's no worse than what is on display at the Tate". The restaurant markets itself to families, even has a kids menu. If you are at all concerned at protecting your children from inappropriate sexual imagery then stay well away!!More

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We have taken your comments on board and have infact recently removed the wallpaper from the ladies and gents. The artwork was never meant to offend, and was designed by a British artist, but it...More

I rarely venture south of the Thames but my family had been invited to a matinee performance of Sandi Toksvig's Christmas show at the Globe and Hixter seemed a good choice for lunch nearby. Of course, it is difficult to fill a massive restaurant space...all of the time and Hixter is a very big venue but the risk of feeling lonely during quieter times is managed by that space being broken up into a number of distinct rooms and areas. The food was very good, verging on excellent - my fried squid starter was very tasty indeed, with coconut, chilly and almonds sprinkled on the top but I did feel that some Aioli or a simple mayonaise on the side would have made it even better. For my main, I chose a steak, which was excellent, and on the advice of the server I chose a mixed mushroom side, for which I was very grateful - it was awesome. I was too busy with my own choices to have paid too much attention to what the rest of the party chose but I do know that it all went down very well. Service was informal and relaxed, although it did take a little longer to pay the bill than I would have liked. All-in-all, a good visit - I expect to be back next time I venture south.More
