I went here with a mix of foreigner and Italians and I must admit the service was great, not so much the food. Possibly good for tourists but not authentic Italian

We like to come here with the other girls after work, I usually just have a cup of tea or something to drink. It's nice, open all night.

Fell into this place as recommended and not disappointed. An eve of dancing, drinking and singing. Everyone happy and friendly. Such a great atmosphere. Hoping it wasn't just Xmas time and heading back in Feb for another good time I hope

Absolutely steeped in history, I visited for the first time during December. Won't be my last. Brilliant coffee, wonderfully authentic and eclectic surroundings and good banter with the owners. Can't wait to return.

Bar Italia was one of the first Italian Coffee Shops to open in London - in 1949 (by the Polledri family, who still own & run it to this day). It's a total Soho institution, the Coffee (& Food is excellent), the Staff always polite & very friendly, you can sit inside or outside, and I cannot recommend this Cafe... More

Been aware of this place for many years and love the idea of it and all it stands for. So I had half an hour to kill and popped in as opposed to patronising one of its soulless chain neighbours. £3.00 for an americano isn't cheap but I wouldn't have minded had it been decent. Very bitter, made more so... More

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
