Well everyone kept saying that we had to try fish and chips in London. It was already day 5 of our trip and we were looking for a good place to eat fish and chips. We stumbled into Ben's traditional fish and chips restaurant. The...More
Couldn’t come to London without getting fish and chips. Was a little confused because we only ordered drinks but were brought out a fried fish filet with chips. It was good, a bit stingy on the tartar sauce though.
We went because of great ratings but were disappointed. large piece of fish and generous chips with tartar sauce - but you are supposed to add salt and vinegar onto your food before you leave. This just means soggy food when ready to eat 10-15...More
Was looking for fish and chips in the Covent Garden area, walked over to Ben's. The place is small but has a surprising number of available seats. The fish was really good with a number of options for type of fish, the chips were not...More

This was a lovely place to eat traditional fish and chips cooked in vegetable oil (versus beef or lard).
Service was nice and quick. Price was reasonable. Location is central.
No complaints and would visit again.

For 10 pounds each you get a plate of fish and chips. Drinks are like 1.50 each for soft drinks. If you are looking for a Quick affordable meal go here. A lot of the times its very busy but the waitress really works hard.
The waitress was SUPER RUDE. She refused to let us in just because we went to withdraw the cash and came back. We never said anything offensive but she thought she was “ ignored “??? Hilarious. She never smiled or welcomed us, she was not...More
Whether you're headed here to check out the multitude of shops, theaters, cafes, pubs, and restaurants, or simply to be among the multitude of people who pass through this pretty part of town, you'll love soaking up the festive and historic atmosphere in and around Covent Garden. Even if you don't have tickets to the opera or a show at one of the many famous theaters here, don't be surprised if find yourself captivated
by some impromptu act of a street performer wowing the crowds in Covent Garden's Piazza. If you do have tickets, you'll be pleased to note that many of the local eateries accommodate theatergoers with prix fixe menus, early dinners, and later than usual opening hours.
