I have been going here for donkeys years and it's always been great! Even today it has managed to keep up with the stiff new competition and this is primarily down to great food, reasonable prices, great drinks and a lovely location- a combo that you can't really go wrong with I guess! Had a business dinner drinks evening in... More

Fab location, although we were put in the middle even though outer tables were free, the food just wasn't great, all a bit cold and a very faty steak, they bought the wrong wine and the dessert were under cooked. They were remove from the bill, but that's not the point.

OXO Tower is a great venue for a drink or a lunch overlooking the Thames. Easy to get to along the Southbank, and with commanding views it's not to be missed. We had a drink on the bar verandah, interesting and unusual cocktails, including a "Steptoe & Sons" which I had to go for given my Cockney heritage, excellent thirst... More

I went to the Oxo Brasserie a few years ago, and remembered the experience being a good one, so when it came to my boyfriend's birthday combined with his first visit to London from the states, I really wanted to treat him so I opted for the Restaurant at the Oxo Tower. What a mistake that was. I understand that... More

We wanted somewhere a bit special for a family celebration and the OXO Brasserie fit the bill. We chose the early evening menu at £30 for a 3 course meal and drink and the food was delicious and plentiful. The staff were very friendly and attentive and, having asked if we were celebrating something, brought the dessert plates out with... More

A most amazing experience, always wanted to dine here and wasn't disappointed. Food was glorious and plentiful. Celebrated our wedding aniversay and the staff were alternative, friendly and even got a chocolate message on our dessert plates congratulating us. Excellent place another tick off the bucket list. Would definitely recommend. (Only one issue £5.00 for a small bottle of water??)

We came here because we'd never been before- we booked a terrace table in the bar and were not disappointed. I think we had the best seat in the house. We got some sharing plates and a couple of cocktails each. It's not cheap but the service was very good and we never felt rushed. A fantastic spot with incredible... More

This place is amazing. The view is amazing. Book to make sure that you get your table. Arrive a little before your table is due so that you get the view from the terrace. The menu is excellent and offers a great array of food and wine. The cocktails are amazing. The food is freshly cooked and the menu is... More

Staying in Southbank

Neighborhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
