It's no wonder you can often bump into some well known chefs in this place - all of whom enjoying the breakfast before shifts in the nearby Mayfair hotels. The breakfast really is the best in London and not too expensive, simply a real treat. I would recommend it to anyone travelling or holding a breakfast meeting in the area.... More

Starters were really good, my partner had the lobster spaghetti which was incredible, very tasty. I had the calamari which was also good. The mains of Fillet steak and Sirloin steak were cooked to perfection. The service was great to boot, we highly recommend.

Very busy restaurant in Mayfair. Popular for breakfast through to dinner. Personally, I feel that this place is over hyped and over rated. I had a ham and cheese omelette and that is literally what I got on a plate. Not even so much as a bit of greenery to make it look attractive. I felt that was a bit... More

Stylish, international crowd frequent this excellent bistro-style Italian restaurant. It calls itself Venetian but to me is pan-Italian with a Venetian slant. Have eaten here twice recently and both times excellent. Great pasta, probably home-made. Tasty sauces that are not over-powering. Top quality fresh ingredients. Best to book but if you don't and are prepared to wait 15mins or so... More

Went on a Sunday night, service was inattentive, and were not professional at all. Sparkling water served warmed and had to ask for ice 4 times. Waiter was not aware of the dishes on the menu and was not capable to answer any questions about it. We were not offer more wine or desserts. When I asked for the bill... More

It's not surprising Cecconis is regularly packed. It has great food, service and atmosphere. It might be a bit noisy for some - but it's just the sound of cheerful conversation in the room. It's not cheap, but the food is of a consistently good quality. Try the salt marsh lamb or spaghetti lobster, and the zucchini fritti make a... More

We were a group of six. The starters were delicious but the main courses weren't to the high standard I expected. I also expected better service as our waiter wasn't very good honestly. You'd expect better since the prices are relatively very expensive.

Asked for veal piccata not on menu and chef made it just for me. They have fried zucchini flowers. Simply fantastic, wonderful hazelnut ice cream! Loaded with nuts! Would return if just for that. We were a party of 6. All mentioned the great dishes and solicitous service.

I went twice to Cecconi's and I definitely loved the service, the food and the time I spent there. It is perfect for a business lunch at Mayfair (quick and courteous service) and for a romantic diner. But I would recommend to book a table as soon as you know that you want go there. This place is the "institution"... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
