We visited Kulu with our kids ages 8 and 11. We enjoyed tasting sushi of many different kinds. We all found different favorits and we can absolutely recommend Kulu Kulu.

Excellent value for money and good quality sushi without trying to be posh and changing inflated prices. The hand rolls were great, salmon skin roll to die for. Free Japanese tea to go with meals, this is our favourite Kulu Kulu out of the chain of 3.

My friend suggested Kulu Kulu and was positively raving about it. Said to expect queues and a buzzing atmosphere. We arrived to an almost empty restaurant and the atmosphere was, well, just weird. The waitress, while friendly, wasn't able to help us with any of our questions. The chef, who she sought out when she too flustered, was reluctant to... More

This was a curious experience. The staff were not particularly warm, and the whole place is lacking in atmosphere. I was afraid that the food may be equally bland, but, yay! It was amazing! The eggplant (aubergine) dish was fab as was the salmon heads in radish dish. It's clearly an after work destination as it started to fill up... More

An empty restaurant should have given me a huge warning. Sat down, tried a few of the things from the rolling band. Ok quality, but nothing amazing. Did it all looked just a little old? Will return and try a day with a full restaurant.

We keep returning to this great small Japanese sushi restaurant in South Kensington. Freshly made sushi selections on conveyor, unlimited green tea, and good value for London. The hand rolls with soft shell crab or salmon avocado are very good. Great location near exhibition road and museums.

I've been going to Kulu Kulu for about 8 years now and have turned loads of colleagues and friends onto it; recommending its no-nonsense approach and high quality but reasonably priced sushi. The prices have increased a fair bit over the years - which is to be expected (though I would have preferred it if the portion sizes hadn't shrunk).... More

Having frequented the Brewer Street Kulu Kulu near Piccadilly Circus for many years for reliably fresh and good sushi with belt-serve convenience (ideal for pre-theatre) I was delighted to discover they have opened a branch in the Seven Dials area of Covent Garden. As at Brewer St, great variety of dishes including many fish (amazing fresh tuna and salmon that's... More

Kulukulu has 3 locations in London: Covent Garden, Soho and Knightsbridge. It serves sushi on a carrousel so be prepare to sit on stools without back rest, but the food is proper Japanese, delicious and inexpensive. Don't hesitate to order if you don't see your favourite dish on the caroussel. The chef is quick and glad to prepare it. The... More
