The restaurant was charming in a rustic Italian way. The staff were helpful and efficient , service was good. Our starters were good but both main courses ( pasta and pizza ) were very salty. This restaurant was close to lots of theatres and was open later so ideal for post theatre.

My partner and I went here before attending a show. The location was very convenient for us and we didn't have to bother queuing or making reservations. The mains were decent in terms of taste, but a bit on the small side. If you're feeling especially hungry, we do not recommend getting the lasagna as it was tiny. The chicken... More

We ate here as a family for a birthday meal. Originally we were going elsewhere but they had a massive queue, we saw Piazza didn't have one and the menu looked decent. The starters were very good, the garlic mushrooms had the right amount of flavour, not too strong. And they weren't swimming in oil like some other places. We... More

Ive been here numerous times, but it was my friends first. We called in for a pre theatre dinner. . I ordered us both an Aperol Spritz which came almost immediately (happy memories of Venice and Rome), because of the choice we seemed to take forever to decide what to eat, but the staff were really patient with us. We... More

We were cutting through an alley and found this little Italian gem in a tiny alley in the heart of London's busiest tourist area. I rarely eat in this area as almost everywhere seems to be a tourist trap - they are looking for quick turnover, and don't care about repeat regulars. It was a beautiful sunny day and they... More

The second time we have eaten here on a day out in London. We ate on a taste card which made the meal incredibly good value, but the prices are reasonable for quality and location anyway. We shared the large meat antipasto. My wife followed up with the stunning Ravioli giardiniera and I had a perfectly cooked sirloin steak. I... More

Seems like a nondescript place from the outside, but don't be fooled: it's worth going in. Piazza serves delicious and flavorful Italian food. I particularly recommend ordering a mix of antipasti. We popped in after a show on the Strand and really enjoyed it.

In the very heart of London, just steps from the madness of Leicester Square is Piazza, a very Italian restaurant in a very British location. A family run eatery for seventeen years, Piazza is renowned for a welcome which will transport visitors from the impersonal, crowded West End to a tiny Italian village. Traditional in every sense, from the green awning over the glass frontage to the simple white walls and dark wood furniture of the rustic interior, Piazza gives a sense of comfort even before the food arrives. On the menu, you'll find everything from authentic bruschetta, to great seafood, to deliciously fresh pizzas, and the most popular pasta dishes too. Surprisingly affordable, Piazza makes a wonderful pre-theatre stop-off, or, thanks to incredible lunch offers, a fantastic place to take a break between shopping and sightseeing.
